    The Tugas-Dumga Elementary School in the Philippines celebrated Women's Month in March 2022 with several events. They hung the official Women's Celebration banner and had all teachers wear purple shirts on Mondays to support gender equality. On International Women's Day, the school held a program in the morning where teachers continued to wear purple and watched an online celebration from DepEd Philippines.     NARRATIVE REPORT
    WOMEN’S MONTH
    The celebration started last March 1, 2022 wherein the school hung the official 2022 National
    Women’s Celebration banner in front of the main gate.

    #PurpleMonday is Tugas-Dumga Elementary School’s public show of support and declaration of


    commitment for gender equality and women’s empowerment. So, all Monday of March, all teachers wore
    purple advocacy shirt as official advocacy emblem because purple is recognized as the color that symbolizes
    justice and dignity.

    On March 8, 2021, Tugas-Dumga Elementary School celebrated Women’s day program at exactly
    7:00 a.m. and finished at 7:45 am before the INSET started wherein all teachers wore purple shirt. The school
    also watched DepEd Philippines’ International Women’s Day celebration with the Theme: Juana Laban sa
    Pandemya: Kaya! With emphasis on Women in Leadership: Achieving equal future in Covid-19 World.

    On March 20, 2021, Tugas-Dumga Elementary School was invited by Tugas Barangay Council to
    attend the barangay Assembly and to give honor to us Women by appreciating our efforts, giving support and
    commitment.
