Section 1:

Throughout my time in BTA performing arts level 3, I have learned many valuable lessons that have
helped me to become a better actor and to approach life with a more open and empathetic mindset.
firstly, vulnerability is very important being able to truly connect with an audience or with other
performers, you must be willing to let down your guard and show your true emotions. This was
difficult because I am used to keeping my feelings bottled up, however, to create truly authentic and
impactful performance its needed. BTA helped me hugely with this due to amazing practitioners that
did exercises that pushed me out of my comfort zone developing this skill of vulnerability.

I also learned in BTA the value of collaboration. whether you are working on a scene with a partner
or collaborating with an entire cast and crew, it is important to listen to others, to be open to new
ideas, and to work together towards a common goal. Through this process, I have learned the
importance of compromise and the value of different perspectives. During BTA, I developed lots of
skills by studying different styles of theatre, reading scripts and exploring different techniques, I
learnt how to analyse a script, to develop a character, to create a compelling performance. I have
gained greater appreciation for roles that theatre has in society, whether as a tool for education,
entertainment, or social change.

Overall, BTA has been a transformative experience that has helped me to grow as both an artist and
a person. Through exploring vulnerability, collaboration, and storytelling, I have gained a deeper
understanding of myself and the world around me and am ready to take my FMP head on.

Section 2:

The aim of out FMP is to deliver an amazing final performance and to create a platform that
withholds all the work and information on the development of the piece and all the stages
of our personal development of skills and techniques throughout the course leading to the
FMP. a good play is the result of a collaborative effort between playwrights, directors,
actors, designers, and technicians. The stages of development of a play are crucial in
ensuring that the final product is engaging, entertaining, and thought-provoking. Finally, all
our collective work ending in the result of a collaborative effort between many different
artists and crucial team members. The stages of development, from writing to the opening
night, are crucial in ensuring that the final product is something everyone can be proud of.
We can ensure this by making use of all the facilities that are available to BTA and putting in
maximum amount of effort in rehearsal spaces when working alongside very important
people like our directors and designers, that prioritise the coming together of the company
to deliver a great final play that comes hand in hand with all the course work that we have
done to summarise all the research and context tasks that we have done nicely reflecting on
our efforts and development throughout the course.
