Boarding pass: something a passenger must have in order to be allowed to get on an airplane,
ship or train.
For example: The airline requires that you print your boarding pass before you board.
Some low-cost airlines might charge you if you don’t print your boarding pass.
Check-in: to report your arrival by showing your ticket at an airport to know what is your seat
and so that your bags can be put on the aircraft.
For example: I like to check-in online to save time.
You can also check-in at a hotel by providing your information and then they can give you your
room number.
Check-in counter (noun): the place in which you go when you arrive at an airport, port, etc and
where you show your ticket for them to confirm your assigned seats, and provide details
regarding time and gate number.
For example: When I arrive I need to go to the check-in counter.
Conveyor belt: a continuous moving band of fabric, rubber, or metal used for transporting
objects from one place to another.
Customs: the official organization responsible for collecting taxes on goods coming into a
country and preventing illegal goods from being brought in. And it is the place where people
arriving from a foreign country have to declare goods that they bring with them.
For example: After getting your luggage you have to go through customs.
Flight attendant: a person from the airline that serves meals and drinks, attends to passengers'
comfort and safety during a flight.
For example: You need to go through immigration and then you may go get your luggage
downstairs.
