Nowadays an airport is an enormous

building with lots of facilities, passages'

and things you are obliged to do. So how
to behave in this place who for the first
time enters it? How not to get lost in a
big unfamiliar house, as not to find
themselves in unpleasant situations?
Firstly, the most important rule that you
should know is that you need to arrive in
the airport two hours before the flight.
You will pass through a metal detector,
putting all the metal things in the special
tray and the luggage on the belt for
scanning. Secondly, after passing
through a metal detector, you are in the
main terminal building, where there are
the arrival and departure screens which
show the status of flights. It lists flights
as on-time, delayed, cancelled, etc. Find
yours and go to the check-in desk. Here
you are obliged to show your passport
and visa to the airport employee. Then
proceed to the customs and passport
control. Also you're obliged to go
through security body scanning
equipment. After that you'll be put a
stamp on your passport and you may
proceed to the departure lounge. 20
minutes before departure there will be
an announcement about the start of the
boarding on your flight. There is one
inconvenience you have to be prepared
for when you're travelling long distances
by plane. It's a difference between the
time you are accustomed to and the
time of the place you're travelling to,
especially if it's far from home. At first
you won't feel very well because of that
difference in time, that's called "jet lag" -
but don't worry about it, shortly you'll
be as good as new!
