Audience Profile

Angela Smith is 48 years old, she was born in Manchester and

grew up in Warrington. She is currently working at the
Warrington car company Mazda in sales and she lives with her
fiance, and her four sons who range in age from 27 to 16. In
her free time she likes to do crafts, decorate and take her dog,
Molly, on walks. Her fiance is a 52 year old self-employed
construction worker called Frank. She drives a Renault Clio,
she learnt to drive at the age of 19 and passed her 2nd time.

Her main income is from her job, and she likes to spend it on
craft things, her family, her dog and the guinea pigs to keep
them warm at night. She would come under the lower middle
class grade C1 as she is a skilled salesperson. She hasn’t
been on many outbound holidays since COVID-19 but she
previously travelled to Spain and Turkey. She has been on
many domestic holidays during and after the Covid pandemic
including Dorset and areas around the south coast

She likes to do her food shopping at many different retail shops, for example Tesco,
Asda, Aldi, Iceland and Morrisons as they are the closest to home and have
everything she needs for her weekly shop. They also offer value for money, giving
her more disposable income to spend on her family and hobbies. She buys most of
her clothes from shops like Primark because they are affordable and good quality.
She spends most of her money on grocery shopping and her family.

Her favourite TV programmes are the soaps including EastEnders, Coronation Street
and Emmerdale and travel programs like Escape to the Chateau. She also likes
comedies like Gavin and Stacey and Peter Kay. She doesn’t have a favourite movie
but her favourite genre of movies are dramas like the recent Downton Abbey film.

In her free time she likes to spend time with her family and friends, going for walks
out for meals and participating in charity fundraising events..

She likes Take A Break because it reaches out to her with the seasonal craft ideas,
the gossip and also the fashion of the magazine inside of it. It is also good value for
money.
