Type of Product
The product is a 30 minute programme in the form of a Breakfast Show. The radio’s
style of presentation would be light-hearted with lots of jokes while also still trying to
be informative.

Name of radio show

Wacky wednesday. The name sounds fun and it alliterates which makes it sound
more appealing

Intended Radio Station

The intended radio station is radio wave, which has been around since 2010 and
broadcasts internally in the Priestley college campus, the station's aim is to be made
‘by the students, for the students.’. The radio jingle is “your station, your sounds.”

Target Audience
The target audience are priestley students aged 16-19, both male and female, who
spend their time in the viola cafe, however there will also be teachers listening too as
they work and go to eat in Viola Cafe so the content would also need to be
appropriate for them. As the audience would have varying tastes in music the music
included in the show would have to accommodate that.

Content (including reasons for your choices)

Interview with Tom Conoly - It’s a radio show in a college, having insight on a
teacher's opinions on things about college would be interesting to students.

Best places to go and hang out around college - Students might not know that
many good places in college to hang out with friends.
Best places to get food around college - Talk about which cafe (viola and
crescent) has the best foods throughout the week.

Alternatives to food from college - Some people may not like the food provided by
college and will want alternatives off campus.

Should I have a part time job during college - students may be unsure on whether
or not they should get a job while studying at college and this section might help
them make their mind up.

What was your first album you bought - It is a talk and music radio, talking about
music would fit with the theme of the show.

Favourite TV show as a kid - This topic could engage the audience listening to our
radio show and get them thinking about their favourite TV shows when they were
younger.

College transport improvements - As it is a college radio there may be some

students who use the transport provided by the college and some people may have
solutions to improve college transport.

What enrichments are on around college - There isn’t too much information about
the enrichments, so students may want more information on the enrichments in
college.
