Audience Profile

Sarah, is 45 years old and works at Speedy Hire and is a Hire

Controller. This job involves people ringing up asking for work
equipment to hire on their job, once Sarah has the call she makes
sure the item is available, comes up with a cost of the item and
arranges when and where they will get the equipment. This equipment
could be anything from a digger to a handsaw. Sarah is in social
economic group C1, as she is an administrator. She lives with her
daughter, husband and a cat called Missy. When she moved into her
first house she had a dog called Ben, which was given to her from a
neighbour who was elderly. However, when Ben died she never had a
pet until she got Missy the cat from Cats Protection League. Sarah
wasn't the biggest fan of cats but since having the cat she now loves
them.

Sarah has blonde hair and blue eyes and she likes to go on holiday to
somewhere hot but since the Coronavirus hit and travel restrictions
were put in place she hasn't been on holiday since. Her favourite
places she’s been on holiday too are; Majorca, Lanzarote and Qatar. Her sister in law has a
caravan in Wales that she and the family have been to during the summer holidays, which
Sarah enjoys going to as she can relax and do things she would like to do. In her spare time
she likes to treat herself and get her nails done every few weeks, and spend time with her
family and friends. She spends her money alongside her husband’s money on food
shopping, petrol, things around the house and the bills for the house. She does her food
shopping mainly at Aldi but sometimes Tesco, she finds that items from Aldi are cheaper,
better value for money and is the closest food shop to her.

She buys her clothes from a wide range of shops such as; Next, Debenhams and Primark.
She likes to buy from Next as she knows the clothing range and knows how they fit. Sarah
also likes shopping in Primark as it is good value for money. Sarah doesn't like to spend her
money so she tries to find bargains or buys clothes in the sale alongside other things. Sarah
likes to watch TV talk shows such as Loose Women at lunchtime and she loves to watch
Strictly Come Dancing as she enjoys watching the celebrities doing something they don't
usually do as she looks forward to it coming back on TV every September. Sarah also enjoys
watching drama series like Silent Witness, Happy Valley and Line of Duty. Magazines Sarah
reads are; OK, Woman & Health and Take a Break. Her favourite films are Dirty Dancing,
Greatest Showman and Top Gun. When she goes on holiday or at night Sarah likes to read
books by Marianne Keyes on her Kindle or the actual book. She likes buying and reading
Take a Break magazine monthly because the fashion pages interest her and make her want
to. purchase those items. She also is interested in the food/recipe as she likes to make new
things.
