Event: The 18th Higher Education, Science and Technology
Exhibitions

Venue: Mnazi Mmoja Grounds, Dar es Salaam

Date: Monday 17th to Saturday 22nd July, 2023

The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) wishes to inform all stakeholders
and the public that the 18th Higher Education, Science and Technology Exhibitions will
be held from 17th to 22nd July, 2023 at Mnazi Mmoja Grounds in Dar es Salaam.
Higher Education Institutions, Research Institutions, Regulatory and Professional
Bodies, and Private sector companies from within and outside Tanzania are invited to
take part.

Exhibitions’ Vision:
To become the leading national and regional state of the art exhibitions that will
promote mutual understanding on quality assurance issues in higher education and
research outputs, and a platform that enhances participation, linkages/collaboration
and partnerships between Higher Education Institutions, Research and Development
Institutions, and the industry.

Exhibitions’ Mission:
To create and promote equity, collaborations, partnerships networks and linkages
between Higher Education Institutions, Industry, Research and Development
Institutions for the attainment of national development goals as well as for the regional
and global socio-economic development.

Objectives of the Exhibitions:

a) To provide opportunity for Higher Education Institutions to publicise their core
functions and activities in the areas of teaching, research, consultancy as well
as their current performance, potentials and future prospects.

b) To educate and inform the potential higher education students and the public
about new developments, innovations, and opportunities available in the higher
education sub-sector inside and outside Tanzania.

 c) To provide a platform for Higher Education and Research Institutions as well as
Local and International Educational Business Companies to exchange ideas
and experiences related to their core functions thereby trigger competition that
will result in the provision of quality higher education and research outputs.

d) To create a channel that enables the prospective higher education students and
the public to interact with Higher Education Institutions, Regulatory Bodies, and
other institutions in order for them to make informed choices especially on
programme of study and career prospects.

e) To foster Higher Education Institutions – Industry partnership.

Theme:
Enhancing Skills Development through Higher Education, Science and
Technology for a Competitive Economy.

Participants:
a) Exhibitors: These include Higher Education Institutions, Research Institutions,
Regulatory and Professional Bodies and Private sector companies from within
and outside Tanzania.

b) Visitors: These are the higher education stakeholders, including students,

parents/guardians, teachers/lecturers, government ministries/agencies, the
private sector, development partners and the public.

Registration Form:
Institutions, organisations and individual firms wishing to participate at the 18 th Higher
Education, Science and Technology Exhibitions (as exhibitors) are required to
register online through http://www.tcu.go.tz/exhibition and submit the duly completed
forms to exhibitions@tcu.go.tz and copy es@tcu.go.tz

Deadline for Registration and Payment:

The deadline for registration and payment of the participation fee is 10th July, 2023.
All Payment slips must be submitted through the provided email addresses before the
exhibitions’ dates.

Opening Hours for Exhibitions:

Exhibitions will be open from 09:00hours to 17:00hours.
