OBJECTIVES:
Recognize the action takes place in time ( Past, or Future) tense indicates time of action.
Illustrate the use of tenses, (Simple present and continuous, simple past and continuous and simple future tense)
previously learnt in their speech and writing.
DISCUSSION:
In this lesson plan, only present and past continuous tenses are discussed
Present continuous tense is used for describing activities and for actions taking place at the time of speaking.
Positive = Subject + is/am/are (helping verb) +1st form of verb+ing+object, as; He is singing a song.
Negative = Subject + is/am/are (helping verb) +not +1 st form of verb+ing+object, as; He is not singing a song.
Interrogative = is/am/are (helping verb) +Subject +1 st form of verb+ing+object, as; I he singing a song?
Past continuous tense is used to describe the action which was happening at some time in the past. Past
continuous tense is also called past progressive tense.
Positive =Subject + was/were (helping verb) +1st form of verb+ing+object, as; He was singing a song.
Negative = Subject + was/were (helping verb) +not +1 st form of verb+ing+object, He was not singing a song.
Interrogative = was/were (helping verb) +Subject +1 st form of verb+ing+object, as; Was he not singing a song?

tense form.
