Learning Intent: At the end of the session, the learners can illustrate and explain conceptual framework
through:
a. Creating a conceptual framework by filling out graphic organizers; and
b. Writing an explanation of the conceptual framework created.
Instructional Strategies
A. Context
Some people likes to be organized. They tend to write their activities in a planner sometimes for them not to
forget things. In the manner of writing research, researchers should organize the variables for them to have a
clearer picture of what to achieve in their study.
B. Concept Notes
A conceptual paradigm is a diagram that visually represents and interprets the underlying theory, principles and
concepts of a research.
Conduct a Literature Review- before you can start your own research, you need to understand what research
has already been conducted on your topic of interest. Your research study should always be new research that
helps advance your field of study. Conducting the literature review can help you to refine your central argument of
hypothesis.
Create a diagram- conceptual frameworks are often visual in nature and allow those reading the framework to
understand the flow of your research. You can present this in whatever way makes the most sense for your work.
Write a Narrative- it is much better to have a diagram for a clearer understanding of the reader of your concept.
You can present the same information better by writing a narrative. Your narrative should summarize the variables
influencing your research and explore how they may change your hypothesis. The narrative should also explain
the basic methodology for your research.
Return and Revise- as you begin your research; you may find that certain elements of your conceptual
framework no longer work. You may discover new variables or you may learn that your hypothesis is incorrect.
You should return to your framework and revise it as necessary.
Guided Practice
Each student will be given 4 researches which has no conceptual framework. The task is that each member of the group
will create a conceptual framework according to the title of the studies.
C. Independent Practice
Each student will illustrate the conceptual framework using any graphic organizer of their topic of interest. Provide a five-
sentence explanation afterwards.
Learning
“Confer Me”
Students will confer and make their conceptual framework of the study with the correct graphic organizer. Please be
guided with the rubric given below.
