Suggestions on how to improve the school climate

Students spend approximately seven hours daily at school, so their stay there needs to be
comfortable and entertaining. Although the secondary school I attend offers a stimulating
learning environment, some changes are necessary to be done in order to improve the school
climate. Bellow are my suggestions on the matter.
To begin with, there is no colour in the school. Our halls and classrooms are all painted in the
same plain colour making us all feel depressed. Therefore, I suggest we change the aestethics of
our school by painting it in lively colours and adding some graffiti. As a result, we’ll have a place
filled with life.
Secondly, we don’t have a canteen. On our 20-minute lunch break, we are running around the
school to buy food which is not even healthy, and sometimes we stay hungry. I think a canteen
should be built where we’ll have enough room for all of us and a place to eat warm food. That
way we can connect with our friends over lunch and eat healthier.
Finally, our classes are boring. We keep hearing the same ways of lecturing by our professors
which do not get our attention. My suggestion is changing the methods of teaching and adding
new ones. Consequently, we will find the school time more interesting and be more motivated
for studying.
In conclusion, there are some evident problems in our school, such as lack of colours, no
canteen and tedious teaching that need to be solved. Hopefully, at least some of my
suggestions would be taken into consideration in order to improve the school climate. Thus, the
school will become a better place for all of us and the next generations as well.
