XI. RATIONALE

Mathematics is a multifaceted discipline. This requires higher level of thinking skills: critical,
logical, analytical, and manipulative. This is the reason why it seems to be a difficult subject for most
students. In order for the students to excel in Mathematics, they must enhance their skills in
fundamental operations and graphic organizers.

It is also added that value goes beyond the classroom and the school. Mathematics as a subject
in school, therefore, must be learned comprehensively and with much depth as it is mentioned in the K-
12 curriculum guides. Mathematics has a broader definition that came from different aspects of life and
it is not just about numbers but it is all about the world where living and non-living things live.

intervention program.
4. Improve their knowledge and skills in applying the fundamental operations and graphs in real
life situation.
