CHAPTER III

RESEARCH DESIGN

In order to meet the aims and objectives of the study, the researcher must use the most
appropriate design, in this case, the approach used by the researcher is Descriptive, because it aims
to accurately and systematically describe a population, situation or phenomenon. It can answer
what, where, when and how questions, but not why questions. (Mc Combes, 2019). The research
paper mostly focuses on the characteristics and estimation of the population who behave in a
certain way.

DATA SOURCE

The study is conducted at Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation (VMUF), this location is
selected by the researcher since the researcher himself is from the said location to easily
communicate with the respondents which was then chosen through Simple Random Sampling,
under the Non-Probability Method. The study is implemented on students from VMUF.

INSTRUMENTATION AND DATA COLLECTION

For the collection of data, under the descriptive approach, the researcher uses a Survey, in
order to gather reliable data from the population. Online survey method is used by the researcher to
minimize the cost and also gather highly accurate responses. Specifically in this research the Likert
scale for the questionnaires is used to easily interpret and draw conclusions through the data that
will be collected by the researcher.

For the analysis of the data gathered, Mean Analysis is the method used for the statistical
method.
