CHAPTER III

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This chapter represent the research design, samples and sampling techniques, research
instruments, validation of instruments, data gathering procedure, and statistical tools and
treatments. The detail discussion on the research process will be conducted to obtain the
objectives of this research study.

3.1 Research design

This study utilizes the use of descriptive design in order to achieve the research that made
in this research. Descriptive design are used in preliminary and exploratory studies (Luck and
Rubin 2014) to allow the researchers to gather and summarize, present and interpret information
appropriately. A survey in form of standardized questions in a questionnaire was establish to
collect customer views and experiences.

3.2 Sampling and Sampling Techniques

The population of the study comprises of Grade 12 Senior High School Students enrolled
in Marcelino M. Santos National High School. The aim of the study is to interview the number of
the students that engaged in CSS training in Formatting skill of G12 ICT students.
The sampling design that the researchers will utilize is simple random sampling.

3.3 Research Instrument

Research instrument use in the research study are survey forms (checklist and rating scale)
To gather the needed data. A systematically prepared form with a set of questions designed to get
and produce responses from the respondents. Structured survey form will be used. A likert scale
is a psychometric scale. In responding a likert scale questionnaire the respondent specify their
level of agree of the statement. The likert scale prepared by the researchers contain 5 likert items.
The items are inside a table, each column has corresponding scale (strongly agree, agree, neutral,
disagree, strongly disagree) in which respondents chooses his or her response by checking tick-
marks.
The instrument is convenient for the parts of both researcher and respondents because it
saves the respondent some time, especially when they are busy.

3.4 Data Gathering Procedures

Using the validated questionnaire, the researcher collects data by using teachers to
encircle one of the five choices that corresponds the percentage of instructional time he use in
various types of student groupings and instructional materials. After gathering the data, it is
tallied and grouped based on the answers given by the respondent.

3.5 Statistical Tools and Treatments

In this study, the research tallies the collected data and indicate what kind of statistical
tools and treatment will be used to interpret the data obtained, gathered the data, they were

collected; totaled and subsequently summarized the data. To ensure the validity of the results, the
information gathered from the survey was run via statistical tool and equipment.

STATISTICAL TREATMENT OF DATA

The data to be gathered in this study will be subjected to the following statical treatment

FOR SPECIFIC QUESTION#1

The Frequency of the each response will be determine of the number of respondents who will
check in the particular item.The demographic profile of the respondents will be determine by
using the formula of percentage.

Fx100
P=--------------
N

P=percentage
F= Frequency
N=Total number of respondents

FOR SPECIFIC QUESTION#2

This formula describes the decriptive design. It will determine if there is descriptive of CSS
practical skills in formatting of student of the delivery of quality usage care using this formula.

N=number of sample
X=First variable
Y=second variable
