I believe that the individual states should make some decisions, but the overall government should

control them more because the states have shown to not always make the best decisions. An example is
the argument over gay marriage. If there going to make it legal it should be legal over the whole country
not just in certain states who legislate over weather its wrong or write. Going about it that way makes
the country more divided instead of bringing is together by states making individual decisions on these
kinds of topics. I believe the same decisions should be made about gun laws. Gun laws should be harsh
over the whole country not just certain states. Another case where the gov should have more power is
over the country’s safety regarding Covid-19. I say this because some states made some very reckless
decisions based on their own agenda costing people’s lives which was not very smart. The gov should
have had the power to mandate a requirement for masks across the country a long time ago instead of
letting states choose which led to there being more Covid-19 cases. But more tedious laws or decisions
like driving laws and property tax should be made by states.
