Board has accorded approval during 7 th ordinary meeting of the board

of trustees for the year 2012-2013 held on 27.09.12 for carrying out the Phase

II (revised) work in up gradation of Port electrical system at a cost of Rs.146

Lakhs. The committee has analyzed the site conditions and observed the

following.

1. As approved by board, 10 Nos of indoor breakers (excluding bus

coupler) are required at proposed centralized control room near 8 Pole

structure.

2. At present there is only one feeder cable (Green gate feeder) is

available between 8 pole structure and Green gate control room and

from the green gate control room, the HT power supply was distributed

to Additional Berth, shallow draught berth and wharf through individual

cables. The existing breakers at green gate control room are worn out

and also to avoid multiple control of feeders, it is already proposed to

control the existing feeders by providing breakers at proposed

centralized control room near 8 pole structure. In this regard, the

following HT cables are required to extend the existing feeders from

Green gate control room to proposed centralized control room near 8

Pole structure.

a. Additional berth - I feeder(240 Sqmm) - 850 Mtr

b. HT cable required to extend the existing Green gate feeder and

incoming feeder from POS for connecting at proposed control

room (240 Sqmm) - 100 Mtr

c. Additional berth - II feeder(120 Sqmm) - 850 Mtr

d. Shallow Draught berth feeder(120 Sqmm) - 850 Mtr

e. HT cable required to extend the existing SS-13, 6 pole and red

gate feeder (120 Sqmm.) - 125 Mtr

Hence the above length of HT cables are required for interconnecting

existing feeders with proposed centralized control room near 8 Pole

structure may be included in the Phase II (revised) work.

3. As approved by board, HT cable may be provided from proposed

control room near 8 pole structure to World Trade Avenue.

4. Board has also accorded approval for providing HT cables to interlink

all 2 pole structures inside colony. In the proposed phase II (revised)

work, a back feeding arrangement will be provided from 8 pole

structure to six pole structure. Hence interlink of all 2 pole structures

may not be required.

After detailed deliberation, the following requirements in Phase II (revised)

work are recommended

1. 10 Nos of indoor breakers (excluding bus coupler) shall be provided

at proposed control room near 8 Pole structure.

2. HT cables for interconnecting existing Additional berth I & II feeder,

Shallow draught berth feeder, Wharf feeder from Green gate control

room to proposed control room near 8 pole structure shall be

provided.

3. HT cable shall be provided from proposed control room near 8 pole

structure to World Trade Avenue.

4. HT cables to interlink all 2 pole structures inside colony may not be

required.
