Present Simple
Grammar Activity (I love / He loves...)

“Americans, we love ice cream.”

Grammar Rule:
* We use the present simple tense for actions which happen repeatedly, regularly, again and again,
or for information that is always true.

Ex. Each person eats about 24 quarts of ice cream per year.

* We also use present simple for facts and with state verbs. State verbs are verbs which express
our senses, state of being, wishes, emotions, opinions, and beliefs.

Ex. Americans, we love ice cream. love taste believe

* For present simple we use the base form of the verb in conjugations. The only exception is the
3rd person singular. (He / She / It).
* It’s important to remember that everyone,
