I want to be a teacher and help students learn some of the core concepts necessary to
function successfully in an everchanging fast-paced world. I want them to know that they can
do anything they put their mind to and that they still have worth no matter what happens.

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
I was involved in the BEST robotics program from 8th to 12th grade through CLA. During 10th and
th
11 grade, I was the key master, keeping track of the rules and regulations for the game that was
announced each year. During my senior year, I was the CEO of our company. During the six weeks that
we were given, students were required to create a company which included both engineering and
marketing. We had to create a robot based on the tasks for the game, as well as a presentation to give
to different real world companies asking for support.
I have been a leader of the preschool group (3-5) during VBS at my church since 2015. I have
lead the younger group of kids around from crafts, story time, snack time, and games. I was in charge of
the well-being of the children in the group and making sure that we were where we needed to be when
we needed to be there. At each station, the children were given instructions or told what to do. I would
help them, especially during the crafts time or game time, to know what to do. I have been able to help
reinforce what they have learned at the end of the night by asking direct questions to the students.
I am the treasurer for the Geneva Student Education Association at Geneva College (Fall 2021-
Spring 2023). I am in charge of any money that goes into or out of the group’s account. I am also a part
of making decisions when the club is thinking about some activity that we want to do. We have had
some nights of painting for education majors and have had activities set up for homecoming for children
to participate in (bean bag racing, coloring pages, getting a shaped balloon, or having their face painted).
