Tuesday Students review Thursday’s writing plans, then plan out the last two
sections (Actions, Solution), Students begin writing in their journals

Lesson Objectives Students will be able to write a realistic fiction text.
Sequence of activities Students come in, getting out their journals and their graphic
organizers. Remind students-5 paragraphs, with 5 sentences each.
25 sentences total,
They discuss with their partner the problem (again) that their character
is facing and begin talking about the actions that their characters can
take. Remind them that the actions must be something that
someone could see happening.
Students will then think about the solution to their character’s
problem, talk about it with their partner, then write it on their
organizer.
After they have all parts of their organizer filled in, students can begin
writing their realistic fiction text.
Differentiation Students could use their journal to write down the information in
instead of the provided graphic organizers (product)
Students could type out their narratives instead of writing them
(product)
Allow students to move to a different seat so that they may be able to
focus better (learning environment).
Assessment Hearing student discussion about their problems, actions, and
solutions.
