This week at my internship, I mainly focused on finishing the PowerPoint for my

presentation. Campus Corner is doing well, and we are receiving a surplus of donations. The

main challenge with that is it has become more difficult to organize the donations. The room is

very cluttered with more donations coming in every day. We went from having only two clothing

racks to four clothing racks that can barely fit in the room. Even though I have not been able to

sort through all the donations just yet, I try my best to maintain the space the best I can. With the

surplus of donations, more items are being put on display outside Campus Corner. This is great

because it draws more attention and we have had a lot more people coming to see what it is.

Most people search through the items outside since the room is so cluttered. It is understandably

intimidating to search through all the donations in such a short space. 

Other than maintaining the campus corner, I have been working on my PowerPoint

presentation. It has been somewhat difficult to organize all the information. I have done so much

research on the topic it is hard to find a way to only put an outline of key points on my slides. I

know that when I present most of the information will not be on the slides and I will have to

remember a lot. The slides will include key points to keep myself on track with the presentation.

After practicing my presentation, I have realized that I will need to condense a lot of the

information to keep the presentation 25-30 minutes long. 

This week I also went to see where I will present in person and tried to gain familiarity

with how I will pull up my presentation on the screen. I am very concerned with how I will

record my presentation. Every time I have had to record a presentation before I used

“screenomatic” and shared my screen. But I also will need to leave my computer in the back of

the room while I present so I don’t really know what to do. Hopefully next week I can meet with

my supervisor and try to figure out the best way to record my presentation.
