This week at my internship I focused on creating flyers for Campus Corner and an

Instagram post to advertise my survey. I got an email Monday morning that My IRB application

had some mistakes that I needed to correct. I put the wrong CITI training in my application, and I

needed to add a pdf copy of my survey as well as the link that I already had in my responses. I

corrected the mistakes very quickly and resubmitted my application which was then approved

the next day. Since I put that the official start date for my research as March 27th, I have to wait

to send out my survey until then. In the meantime, I focused on completing tasks that I have not

had time to do while working on my application.

I created a flyer to advertise Campus Corner that will be handed out at the Farmers and

Artisans Market next week. The flyer includes what items can be donated at campus corner,

where to drop off donations, contact information, as well as a few quotes that we use to advertise

Campus Corner. I then created an Instagram post on Canva to advertise my survey. It will be

posted on the @gcgogreen Instagram account on Monday when my survey opens. It was

surprisingly challenging to design an Instagram post since I could not say anything positive or

negative regarding alternative medicine or it could skew the results. I tried to keep in simple and

just inform students on the purpose of my survey.

This week I also discussed with my supervisor when and where I can present my project.

It was difficult to pick an appropriate date since my research will end very soon before the

project is due. After the survey has been open for two weeks, I will have ten days to analyze the

data, draw conclusions, as well as add any additional background information on the topic. We

scheduled to present my project in the conference room on the lower level of the building where

the office of sustainability is located. I will present my project on April 20th at 2:00 PM. In the
meantime, I will begin adding all the info to my presentation that does not pertain specifically to

my project, so once my survey ends, all I will have to do is focus on the results.
