known as CMS. While I am working with this program, I have the chance to communicate and
work with many different registered nurses. Due to this, I have had the chance to learn a lot
about what life looks like for a nurse on a daily basis. While working with the program, we focus
mainly on calling patients. During this time, we complete updates on their medical profile,
remind them of upcoming appointments, plan upcoming appointments, let them know where
they can receive specifical medical care, and assure them that we are available to answer any
questions that they may have. Over the past couple of months, I have learned a lot from simply
completing phone calls to patients and communicating with the nurses that work at the health
department.

the health department and they offered to have me shadow nurses and do various other tasks at

properly treat them. Additionally, what they see every day varies as patients are unable to make
an appointment. I think that this will be a great opportunity for me where I will not only learn a
lot about the field of public health but a lot about myself as well. Ultimately, by having
experience in the clinic, I will be able to make a decision about my future and what it will look
like after graduation. I am excited about this upcoming week as it will be something new and
