OUR INTRODUCTION
"Do not follow where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path &
leave a trail."
These words of 'Ralph Waldo Emerson 'have been an inspiration to us.
Today, AIDER is a name, synonymous with success, because we seize every
opportunity and work restlessly towards attaining new milestones. All our
actions, thoughts and practices have been influenced by our inner desire to
succeed.
Striving for excellence is a skill, which can be cultivated and a mindset, which
can be fostered.
Children are our most valuable resource and we nurture them with utmost
love, care and compassion. We instil in them long term values such as
discipline, commitment, preservance which will help them in every sphere of
life -from success in exams to winning a marathon. As educators, our role is
to provide the children appropriate tools with which they can cultivate their
own gardens of knowledge.
Our other main motto is *Women Empowerment* and we focus on home
workers and migrant workers. There is a great truth to the saying 'you cannot
do it alone'. We are truthfully thankful to Next PLC, who is giving us
encouragement, a strong helping hand and consistent support in all our
endeavours. The unflagging resolve and dogged persistence of our faculty
and students has led us to the path of Glory.
As a part of our Aider Next project, we have a Play School, one Computer
Centre, Tuition Centre and a Tailoring Unit in Badarpur. Here, children are
imparted valuable skills and knowledge without any fees or charges. AIDER
also provides breakfast and lunch to all children of play school. We believe in
honing these little bundles of joy with love and proper nutrition.

11 | A I D E R
we organise dental camps every now and then, for home workers and their
families. That camps have been arranged very beautifully with Dentist and
Orthodontist Dr Pravin . Dr Praveen is a valuable asset to Aider team. Our
organization provides a full dental checkup and distributes prescribed
medicines to patients. Aider do assessment in dental health of populations
rather than individuals.
There are plenty of compelling reasons to start healthy lifestyle changes at
any age. Whether it is eating more fibre, drinking more water, cutting down
on sugar or exercising regularly, they all help in keeping your calories under
control.
We kept a Nutrition camp on the same day of medical camp.
Our head cook made khichdi with pachrangi daal (lentil). Pachrangi means to
mix five lentils with rice. She poured all green veggies and tomatoes for
vitamin C.All students, patients, faculty had that delicious khichdi.
Honest efforts always get the best results.
As a healthcare provider, there is more to responsibility than treating people
and improving their lives... something that could take health care to the next
level of trust.... responsible healthcare.
At Aider, the ethics of care is defined by commitment in small things -
attitude, empathy, response mechanism. We are doing more than protocols.
We keep medical camps in every month. Dentist, eye- specialist, physician,

SWACCH BHARAT ABHIYAN

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a campaign launched

by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi as a
nationwide cleanliness campaign. It is
implemented to fulfill the vision and mission of
clean India a day. It was launched especially on
the birth anniversary of the Mahatma Gandhi as
he was very keen to make this country a clean
country. He had tried for clean India in his time
by motivating people through his campaigns and
slogans however could not be true because of
the partial involvement of the people of
India. But after years, Swachh Bharat Mission is
again started by the government of India. It is big
challenge for all the citizens of India. It is only
possible if each and every person living in India
would understand this campaign their own
responsibility and try to meet hands together to
make it a successful mission. It is initiated and
promoted by the famous Indian personalities to
spread this mission as an awareness programme
all through the India.
The Total Sanitation Campaign or Swachh
Bharat abhiyan is very important subject for
Aider. We keep rallies on this burning subject.
Our rally motivates people to clean their
surroundings and make toilets.
Its objective is to spread awareness among the
people and generation of demand for sanitary
facilities. The Aider assistance was also
extended for construction of toilets.
Under swachh Bharat Abhiyan, we adopted the
community- centric problems.

19 | A I D E R
RALLY AND COMPAIGN ON ERADICATING CORRUPTION

Corruption is Social Evil" "Power tends to corrupt, and

absolute power corrupts absolutely."
In its simplest sense, corruption may be defined as an
act of bribery or misuse of public position or power
for the fulfillment of selfish motives or to gain
personal gratifications. It has also been defined as
"Misuse of authority as a result of consideration of
personal gain which need not be monetary".
Every year we motivates community to eradicate this
social evil, by conducting rallies, essay competitions
and poster making competitions, with association of
NPCC.
We distribute cash prizes and certificates to the
participants.
We are all need to stop talking about Corruption but
we right now start ourself take the initiative and be
Brave ourself. Corruption is going to end only when
people like us stand up and speak out.
If we do not take step forward to remove corruption
from root, the word developing country will always be attached with our country INDIA . So
we the common man are solution for removing
corruption from our INDIA and hence we will be also
helpful in making our country developed.

20 | A I D E R
POLIO DROPS

Aider provides polio drops for all play school

children, as we know that community is not very
much aware about health issues. This step has
been admired by all parents.
Polio or poliomyelitis is a highly contagious viral
illness caused by the poliovirus which can spread
from person to person through contact with the
feces of an infected person. But we are trying our
best to eradicate this illness.
Polio vaccines are vaccines, used to prevent polio
virus. There are two types: one that uses
inactivated poliovirus and given by injections and
one, that uses weakened polio viruses and it is given by mouth.
Aider took a prominent step to provide polio
drops to our play school students on 1st
February.
For more than two decades mankind has been
dreaming of a polio free India. However, the
dream yet to be realized owing to various
problems.
The eradication of polio is an important
priority of Aider. Around 45 children pf our
school, took “two drops of life”.
We believe in transparent transformation in
homeworkers lives. If you believe in serving
humanity.

SAVE COOKING GAS WORKSHOP

Save cooking gas workshop by Seema Mishra, Coordinator, Hindustan petroleum with
Bharat Petroleum
Housewives can save upto 30% of cooking gas or kerosene by following a few simple 'fuel–
saving tips'?
A few minutes of planning ensures a big fuel saving.
Pressure cooking saves fuel.
Use optimum quantity of water.
Reduce the flame when boiling starts.
Soak before cooking.
Shallow, wide vessels save fuel.
Considering this concept, Aider provided a big workshop on above said subject.

22 | A I D E R
PERSONAL HYGIENE WORKSHOP

Aider kept a valuable event on the most hidden subject:

menses. We turned off silence and opened up the knotty
problems. Ms Hitasha Vohra, a mentor and specific lecturer on
this particular subject, visited in Aider on 19 th May. The
menstrual cycle is the natural changes which occurs in the
female reproductive system that makes pregnancy possible.
We kept a big workshop on personal hygiene and myths about
periods.

We discussed the following:

1. To elicit the beliefs, periods and source of information

regarding menstruation.
2. To stay with hygiene in these particular days.
3. Nutritional diet plan.
4. Yoga, which can pacify the menstrual pain.

A descriptive, cross sectional study was conducted among 50

girls including our homeworkers of Aider.

It’s better to light a candle

than to cause darkness. Progress is the activity of today and
assurance for tomorrow.

Under the new campaign of Indian Government, we enabled

girls to know about sanitary napkins. Thus is really an
appreciable step of our organization, that we
distributed the sanitary napkins to all students of computer
centre and our homeworkers.

Aider, as its name, is assessing and providing a helping hand to

all the homeworkers and migrant workers.

Lets menses not make your glorious face fade, don’t stay in pain and live like a mermaid.

23 | A I D E R
STRESS MANAGEMENT AND ETHICAL TREATEMENT
WORKSHOP

Stress management is a wide spectrum of techniques and psychotherapists aimed at controlling a

person’s level of stress, especially chronic stress of examination.Aider kept a small event, to relieve
the stress of our students, who are appearing and preparing for board exams, this year.

Mr Neeraj Gupta, a mentor of happiness program, visited on 10 th march to handle this problem, in a
proper way. Owing to intense competition students often face a dilemma. This leads to a lot of
confusion, anxiety and sometimes depression. This is where, a counsellor comes into picture.* We
eradicate stress from heart of children. Aider is
creating great teams, respect and trust amongst
members, leads to the formation of a formidable
team.

There is no need to be ruthless in any kind of work or

business to get work done. Be kind to everyone. In
hurry, to accumulate wealth, we have forgotten
words like compassion and kindness. Yet, we met a
boy, who always stays ahead to give ethical training
to our students.

24 | A I D E R
Karan, a name of our deserving volunteer, took a
class of ethics. Sometimes, we forget the
meaning of selfless love and care. His gestures
showed a lot about his unique personality. He
said, “its necessary to reduce the anger and put
yourself in creativity.”The class was taken by Mr
Karan on 10th of March. He is a motivator to all of
our students. “Doesn’t everyone suffer in one
form or another? Just because a person is good
doesn’t mean, there will be no suffering in his
life,” he added. He emphasized that putting pen
to paper can make one a “thought leader”, so he
motivated the girls for creative writing. The girls
opened with their perceptions and aim of life. A
cheerful person is more resilient against negative
events, and more suited to face adversities in life. So Karan showed his grandeur linguistic power
and asked the girls to get more truthful. We all are grateful to his attitude of giving and capture
talent.

WORKSHOP ON SEXUAL HARASSMENT

Influence of confluence… Let there be peace on earth and let it

begin with us. Vision is the door to the future, when combined
with action, it turns possibilities into realities. Aider’s expertise
provides the vision to the children and homeworkers to carve the
future with accepting safety rules. We are here to aware our
students against sexual harassment and upgrading homeworkers.

Aider took a big stride and kept a workshop on POCSO, Mr V K Jha,

his wife Alpana Jha and son came to spread the message in
community.

Mr Varun Chaudhary, Manager, COP, India, Mr Mohit and Mr

James Kennedy, from Leicester, United Kingdom graced the
workshop of Aider, Badarpur.

Mrs Alpana Jha, educationalist, lectured on protection of

children from sexual harassment offences of 2012. This is the
time to break the silence and display the meaning of good
touch and bad touch to our loved ones.

Safety must be a priority in every school by installing cameras to

keep the surveillance all the time as Aider does.

25 | A I D E R
Character of a girl should not get measured by the skirt length or fashionable clothes, it always
survives in mind. We have to change the mindset of our society.

It was a big workshop and tremendous confluence of Aider and

Next plc.

Mr V K Jha, President of Aider, has achieved amazing turnaround

and showered impressive results in a very short span, emerging
from darkness and entering an era of brightness.

We appreciate the presence of guest, who contributed his

precious time in our organization. A bright spark can change the
world.

DIYA MAKING COMPETITION

Young people are the innovators, creators,

builders and leaders of the future but they can
only transform the future if they have any
opportunity to acquire the right skills, and are
presented with real choices in life.
Aider is choice provider, a big problem, where
students can show their inner talent. We
organized a diya making competition for
homeworkers and students.
Students made their best and we applause
them exorbitantly. Most of the girls are from
poor families and we gave them opportunity to
give their turn to celebrate Diwali with
beautiful diyas. Otherwise, we will help the girls
to exhibit and sell off these days.
There is more to her, a self-confessed learner, who takes her crafts very seriously.

26 | A I D E R
ESSAY WRITING AND PAINTING COMPETITION

Treasure the jewel of knowledge… In Aider, work mode is always on. We treasure the
magical moments with knowledge. We are gratifying to share the achieving moments on
10th January when a team of NPCC came to
distribute cash prizes, certificates to the
students who participated in Essay Writing
Competition and painting competition helded in
Oct and Nov on the subject of corruption.
Mr Neeraj Gupta, who is the mentor and his
team graced the day with blessings for our
students.
Corruption in India, is an issue that adversely
affects the country’s economy and the
credibility of central, state and local government
agencies. This is no doubt, a small step to make
india corruption free. Mr Neeraj Gupta, Mr Vivek
Gupta, Mr Ramesh Delour and Mrs Neeru gave
the prizes to children of Aider. Poster
competition: Ritu got the first prize, second prize

27 | A I D E R
went to Anjali and Sitara. Third was for Shivani and Megha. Radhika, Sapna, Rajni, Anjli, Soni
and Aarti got the consolation cash prize.
Essay competition: Rakhi and Shruti made us proud to get first prize, Ritu and Anjali got the

EMILY’S VISIT
Path of excellence……. Eleanor Roosevelt once
said “The future belongs to those , who believe
in the beauty of their dreams’. Aider is the
dreamland of Mr. V.K. Jha, to create a quality
school, where children get motivated to learn
and acquire skills to succeed in any
environment. Many people dream big, but few
realize them.

Only one person can not do the team work. So,

NEXT plc team come forward and graced the
association of us. We are really fortunate that
Mr Vikram Pandita, Mr Varun Chaudhary and Ms Emily, gave their precious time to Aider’s students.

Guest from NEXT plc UK, wrote a beautiful note

on us, “what a wonderful set up. It is very
heartwarming to see the fantastic work that is
being done. It has been a pleasure to visit and
see the centre. I will treasure the memory
forever. I wish you the best, with lots of love”.

28 | A I D E R
These golden words of Ms Emily, will always motivate us in future. Ms. Emily worked as Assistant
Code of Practice Manager at NEXT in Loughborough, UK from last decade. And she was our guest of
honour on this wonderful day.

A small cultural program from Aider’s students

showed that god never discriminate to shower
his grace.

Next.plc. team exhibited its dedication towards

the cause of dedication and its humility.

We all say, ‘the timeless values of integrity,

strength and truth will continue to hold aloft
our name and dignity as an NGO to reckon with
us. With the benign blessings of Next team. Lets
we stride forth with true grit on the path of
excellence.

29 | A I D E R
OMEGA VISIT

Life is not a fiction or fusion; it’s just

like a fantastic confrontation. Aider is
best in hosting, so did a warm
welcome of our visitors Mr. Sameer
Sharma from Omega, and other two
guests from UK.
The human spirit is the biggest asset
and team work, the best support
system, particularly in community
work.
Mr. V K Jha, the president of Aider, kept
his views ,in front of visitors.
We seek a world of hope, tolerance
and social justice, where power has
been overcome and people live with
dignity, security and economic
independence.
Visitors watched the entire infrastructure. Small children showed their talent,
and home workers, who are associating with us, displayed their frame of
work. Computer centre students just enchanted the eyes of visitors as doing
best in education, is the
main theme of Aider.
Flowing with life is the
only way to accept, the
script of life.
At last we showed that a
woman is the full circle,
within her, is the power to
create, nurture and
transform.

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS

30 | A I D E R
Personality development is defined as a
process of developing and enhancing one’s
personality. Personality development helps
an individual to gain confidence and high
self esteem.
Personality development also is said to
have a positive impact on one’s
communication skills and the way he sees
the world. Individuals tend to develop a
positive attitude as a result of personality
development.Every individual has his own
characteristic way of behaving, responding
to emotions, perceiving things and looking
at the world. No two individuals are
similar.
You might like going out for parties but your
friend might prefer staying back at home reading
his/her favourite book. It is really not necessary
that if you like partying around, your friend will
also like the same. Here comes the role of
personality. What an individual sees in his
childhood days and most importantly his/her
growing days form his personality. How an
individual is raised plays an important role in
shaping his/her personality.
Personality is nothing but the aggregate
conglomeration of memories and incidents in an
individual’s entire life span. Environmental factors, family background, financial conditions,
genetic factors, situations and circumstances also contribute to an individual’s
personality.Personality also influences what we think, our beliefs, values and expectations.

NEHA BHATIA’S EVENT

31 | A I D E R
*Be happy: be grateful*
When your dreams include unprivileged children, the world has a lot to say enough to bring
tears to your eyes. Can you find a
reason to smile? Shift focus from
half empty to half full.
Yes you can! But it was not so
easy. The life lessons do not
come for free, but you have to
believe in Aider. Remember one
crucial moment of adversity and
smile,
smile that started it all.

Ms Neha Bhatia, a prominent Motivator, lecturer and educator, visited in AIDER. She
motivated the girls and made them understand the value of a 'smile'.
A smile, which is contagious, a
smile, which can impress
anyone. A smile, which can
force us to forget glooms and a
smile can start a new life, once
again.
So she lectured on self
motivation, self assessment
and definition of happiness.
Almost all students and
teachers attended this session.

SUPERDRY VISIT

32 | A I D E R
Symphony of brilliance and bright art:
A grand meet was organised with Superdry. We

from them. Around 38 girls got the certificate of
basic computer course with warm wishes. Rakhi,
a bright student got the first position. God gave
us the gift of life, it is up to us to groom ourselves.
Art and craft is the other centre of attraction in
Aider, here we can see the crafted work of
bamboo. It was made with versatile material. Our
art and craft teacher made a lot of things. She
works on a wide range of style and technique and
on a wide spectrum of contemporary and
traditional subject and uses bright vibrant colours
in making keyrings ,Shree Ganesha, designer bags,

superlative sceneries, stroked of their brushes,
dipped in brilliant colours, discover and bring
into focus intricate works, profound and expertly
crafted.
Aider works on real art and brilliance. We can see
an abstract artist in the soul of Mr V K Jha, the
President of Aider. Visitors from Superdry said that art is an exploration of our perception
one must never forget one's mission.

FESTIVITIES
We celebrated the day with love and fun.

33 | A I D E R
We give special importance to festivals. Special arrangements are made for the celebration
of various festivals each year. Some of the main Indian festivals include Diwali, Holi, Raksha
Bandhan, Ganesh Chaturthi, Durga Puja, Dussehra, Pongal and Bhai Duj.
Aider loves celebrating the festivals . Each Indian festival has its own unique way of
celebration and people follow the tradition while celebrating the same. However, some
things remain common for instance we decorate here with flowers and lights during the
festivals and wear new clothes. Special sweets are prepared to treat the students.
We also hold great regard for the National festivals of the country. Gandhi Jayanti,
Independence Day and Republic Day are the three national festivals of our country. These
festivals are a symbol of unity and progress. They remind us of our patriotic leaders who
served the country selflessly. National festivals are celebrated with equal zeal. The entire
atmosphere is filled with the feeling of patriotism during these festivals.
All in all, Aider celebrates both religious and National festivals with great enthusiasm.
Children as well as elders look forward to the festive celebrations...
We give special importance to all festivals. Special arrangements are made for the
celebration of various festivals each year. Be it the villages or the big cities there is joy all
around. All the places are decked up during the festival season. Some of the main Indian
festivals include Diwali, Holi, Raksha Bandhan, Ganesh Chaturthi, Durga Puja, Dussehra,
Pongal and Bhai Duj.
People in our country love celebrating the festivals with pomp and show. Each Indian
festival has its own unique way of celebration and Aider follows the tradition while
celebrating the same. However, some things remain common for instance we decorate our
centre with flowers and lights during the festivals and wear new clothes. Special sweets are

Aider students' also hold great regard for the National festivals of the country. Gandhi
Jayanti, Independent day and Independence day.
All in all, we celebrate both religious and National festivals with great enthusiasm. Children
look forward to the festive celebrations.
Indian festivals are thus important for the students in more than one way. These are a great
way to bond with the near and dear ones and also to know about the country’s rich cultural
past.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

34 | A I D E R
The Independence Day of India, which is
celebrated religiously throughout the Country
on the 15th of August every year, holds
tremendous ground in the list of national days,
since it reminds every Indian about the dawn of
a new beginning, the beginning of an era of
deliverance from the clutches of British
colonialism of more than 200 years. It was on
15th August 1947 that India was declared
independent from British colonialism, and the
reins of control were handed over to the
leaders of the Country. India's gaining of
independence was a tryst with destiny, as the struggle for freedom was a long and tiresome
one, witnessing the sacrifices of many freedom fighters, who laid down their lives on the
line.
Aider inculcates the feeling of patriotism among students. A lot of cultural programmes held
here on 15th August and 26th January.
We distributes sweets, samosas and toffees, in our centre, on this gracious day.

RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBTRATION

35 | A I D E R
Raksha Bandhan 2019: The bond shared by
siblings is extremely special, and the
festival of Raksha Bandhan is a celebration
of the same. On this day, as per tradition,
sisters tie a sacred thread or knot aound
her their brother’s wrist, whichV is
symbolic of her love for him while also
seeking his protection in return. This year,
the day is being celebrated on August 15.
The festival is primarily celebrated in the
Northern belt of India, as well as across the
North western parts of the country. It is
also celebrated in Nepal with utmost
enthusiasm. Even though the origin of the day is not precisely known, there are several
stories in mythology that refer to the festival.
One of them is about the bond of trust between King Bali and Goddess Lakshmi. It is
believed that King Bali confined Vishnu in his house after defeating him thrice. But Lakshmi,
to get her husband back, ties a thread around King Bali’s wrist and in return asks him to
mark this bond of compassion and faith. King Bali couldn’t refuse, and was forced to send
Lord Vishnu to her.
According to another story, Lord Krishna once cut his finger while flying a kite. Seeing blood
coming out of his finger, Draupadi ran to help and tore a piece of cloth from her sari and
tied it on his bleeding finger. Lord Krishna was extremely pleased by her gesture and
promised to protect her from all evil thereafter.
Later, as is known, he protected her from the
Kauravas.
Over the years, the day has gathered more
meanings, signifying not just sibling love but also
communitarian harmony, and have also been
used by environmentalists in their bid to save
trees. The day, ultimately, stands for love and
compassion.
Every year we celebrates this festival in our play
school.
Small girls tie rakhis on boys' hands.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

Aider celebrates the day with pomp and show, and distributes chocolates to all cutie pie

36 | A I D E R
AIDER STANDS FOR A FLOURISHING
REPUBLIC:
Republic day is a festival of
reiterating the ideals of freedom,
equality, sovereignty and fraternity.
This is an occasion to celebrate India
and the spirit of being Indian.
Let us come together and fulfill our
duties to make a new India, which is
clean, and free from corruption, dirt,
poverty, terrorism, casteism,
communalism.
Aider wishes heartiest greetings on
Republic day and Independence day.
We celebrate the day with proud
every year.
We kept a cultural program this year
also and distributed toffies among all
students.
It's an absolutely fantastic feeling to
love your country because eventually
we are what we are, because of our
nation; we are safe so thanks to it. The
idea of loving our country should be
protected. We are all grateful to our
jawans at the border for keeping us
safe.
So we pleasantly celebrated the day.
Let's have a glance!

JANMASTHMI CELEBRATION

37 | A I D E R
Krishna Janmashtami, also known simply as
Janmashtami or Gokulashtami, is an annual
Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of
Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu.

Aider celebrates this festival with all happiness

and pomp and show. We conduct fancy dress
competition for play school children and grace
them with prizes.

We celebrate each and every festival in Aider,

and rejoice them with conventional food of
that season, which is usually prepared in our
internal kitchen. The main motto, we celebrate
festivals, is because the majority of these
children are less religiously centered and not
privileged to celebrate the festivities. We teach
them to Honor our religion and culture, and
always keep the integrity of our Nation

Festivals also give a sense of enjoyment,

relaxation and offer the time needed to bond with the members of Aider.
