II. Introduction

Campus paper provides the students with valuable experience in collaboration and
teamwork that can go a long way in their lives. It is one of the places where learners can
voice out their opinions and others consider this as where the learners can express their
freedom of expression.
One of the endeavors a school must have is crafting/creating a campus paper.
Honing the little minds of the aspiring journalists the school must have. It is one of the
outlets the school may use in showcasing the improvements and great news for the
achievements the school have. It is a newspaper of the school where it featured the
great news that would benefit the learners, teachers, parents and other stakeholders for
the betterment and great support they may give to the school.
Marawir Integrated School is one of the performing schools in Esperanza District 3. It
is the home of the leaders where many from this school had become school heads of the
different schools. It has been a great journey the school has taken. But campus paper
was not been their priority and given emphasis in every year’s issuance. It has been
taken for granted because of the lack of teaching force and the loaded schedules of the
teachers.
Thus, this seminar-workshop is giving a chance to the learners of Marawir
Integrated School with what journalism is, will give them an open mind and capture their
interest in sharing their little talents of writing which they can use in the future. Also,
with this activity, the school can at least have a first step in crafting/creating their
campus paper to be called “TUDUK”. It is where the adviser assesses the ability of the
learners in writing and chooses who among the learners will be part of the paper and
who are to be honed in for the next school year’s paper.

III. Objectives:
The learners will be able to:
a. Be aware of what journalism is
b. Share their experiences in writing
c. Write a feature story
d. Capture a scene for photojournalism
IV. Methodology and Guidelines
The Campus Paper Adviser will prepare a two-day activity with an activity
design for a Seminar-Workshop for learners in crafting TUDUK Paper. It will be
signed by the School Head, Public Schools District Supervisor, Assistant Schools
District Supervisor and the Schools Division Superintendent. The school will make a
memorandum to the said activity inviting the interested learners from grades 7-12.
It will be following the program of activities below.
The activity will be inviting at least 5 learners in ever grade level. These will
be learners who have potentials and eager to be part of the paper, are welcome to
attend with the recommendations of their English and Filipino teachers. They will be
writing something about the topic to be presented in the workshop.
As the highlight of this activity, all participants will be presenting their
written outputs to the group, critiqued by the evaluators. Moreover, after the
activity learners who will be identified in their exemplar output will be selected to be
one of the staff of the campus paper of the school to be created.
