For the chemical detective activity:

o Use your results to form a conclusion about the identity of the criminal.
Write this conclusion in full so that you are communicating how you
arrived at your conclusion. (You could think of this part a bit like a police
report in terms of presenting the evidence and showing how it helped you
to form a conclusion). This should be a paragraph or bullet points in a
word/pages document. Please submit this through firefly.

o Copy and paste these three reflection questions into your ATL skill -
critical thinking page:

 What was the most difficult thing about this activity?

 The most difficult thing about this activity was remembering
which precipitates made which color and which chemical to add
after that to test further. To see which color the flame turned in the
bright classroom lights was also difficult when performing the
flame test as the colors where not particularly clear. Memorizing
so much has proved a difficult task but I will try and remember the
flow charts I made through revision.
 When something was difficult, what did you do to get through it?
 I usually try to solve it by myself but if I cannot then I will refer
back to my notes and see how I can change my method to make my
results better.
 What have you learned from this activity the you can take into
future problem solving activities in other subjects?
 Well, just to persevere and try a different method when something
might not give you the results you want. To reflect upon results is
something to consider as well.
