Reflection Essay 3

Essay 3 was a bit challenging for me because I had used all my ideas for it in essay 2. In this

essay I didn’t really use anything I used from essay one except adding the citations to my article.

I used more of essay 2 to create essay 3 because it consisted mostly of essay 2. I also used six of

my citations from essay 2. Essay 1 was more for an experimental paper which is something I did

not use for this essay. I used most of my essay for essay 3 except for the four other essays I did

not use. It was not applicable for this essay because only needed 8 articles to cite.

I learned in this essay that I need to learn how to annotate and find a way to expand my word

count because I had trouble getting to the word count. I could apply this to a biology research

paper because I have done many this semester. I don’t think that would use MLA for my biology

course, but I do think I will use it in the future. I also have been using more of an APA format for

my other classes.

This essay has helped me make a stance for what I believe in and shows proof that it may be the

best choice. For example, in this essay I made my stance on music helping people and I strongly

believe that. There are also many facts supporting this statement. In the future I may have to

make or stand for something, and I would have to support it with my knowledge and research I

do. This is how it will help in my future as well as helping in other classes. In this writing I came

upon my writing skills becoming a bit stronger. The strengths that I felt were stronger were my

flow of writing becoming easier and my grammar getting better. My weakness I feel are

becoming less weaknesses and becoming strengths. My weaknesses were grammar and getting

towards the word count or finding things to write about and I felt that got better in the ends of

essay two to essay three.

From my teacher I feel that the criticism for this essay will be my citations, which I have fixed

with an ACE tutor and feel like it is done better as well as my word count. In my citations I made

a mistake with the page numbers and italicizing the journal for the citations, and I have fixed

that. The most challenging part about this essay was adding more information which wasn’t

already added, I did not want to be repetitive with what I said and that is what made it

challenging for me. The least challenging was finding the citations because most of them had

come from essay 2 already and had been cited in my text as well.
