Guidelines:  Certificate  of  Airworthiness  (C  of  A)  Renewal

For   your   information,   the   Certificate   of   Airworthiness   (C   of   A)   is   valid   for   a   maximum   period   of   one   year.   An
airworthiness  inspection  consists  of  a  review  of  the  aircraft  condition,  and  its  technical  documentation  to  verify
all  relevant  continuing  airworthiness  aspects  are  up-‐to-‐date  and  correct.

The   technical   documentation   would   include   the   flight   manual,   log   books,   airworthiness   directives,   scheduled
maintenance  completion,  life  limited  parts  and  airworthiness  limitations,  weight  and  balance,  etc.

The   AMC-‐012   provides   a   complete   list   of   aircraft   documentation   to   be   presented   to   the   DCA   of   Aruba
airworthiness  inspector  on  site.

To  renew  the  Certificate  of  Airworthiness  (C  of  A),  the  following  should  be  submitted:

• At   least   45   days   prior   to   the   expiry   date   of   the   current   Certificate,   the   operator   shall   provide   the   DCA
with  an  estimated  date  and  location  for  the  renewal  inspection.  This  allows  sufficient  time  for  processing
and  the  inspection  to  be  arranged  and  completed.

• Completed  application  forms  for  Airworthiness  Certificate  (INS-‐4.009)  and  AFM  Acceptance  (INS-‐4.064),
should  be  submitted  no  later  than  30  days  prior  to  the  expiry  date  of  the  current  Certificate.

C  of  A’s  may  be  renewed  up  to  30  days  prior  to  the  expiry  of  the  current  Certificate,  with  no  loss  of  any  remaining
validity.  The  remaining  validity  from  the  previous  C  of  A  will  be  added  to  the  new  Certificate.
