1.0 Objective
1.1 To recognize the need for the employee to have time off from work in order to spend time with the
family or pursue other activities that would provide a healthy life balance vis-a-vis the demands of their
job. It is primarily for this reason that the Company has a Vacation Leave Program for its employees.

2.0 Scope
2.1 All regular employees.

4.0 Policy Details


4.1 Each regular employee is entitled to 12 days leave.
4.2 Newly regularized employees are entitled to pro-rated number of days of leave availment after 1 year
of continuous service from date hired.
4.3 Twelve (12) days is the maximum leave allowable per year.
4.4 Unused vacation leave is not commutable to cash.
4.5 Notification and Schedule of Leave
4.5.1 Before going on actual vacation leave, a regular employee must accomplish a formal leave
application form and shall notify immediate superior and file the application for VL through the
Personnel leave Authority Form at least three (3) working days before taking the actual leave.
4.5.2 An employee who goes on leave without complying with this requirement shall be placed
on Absence Without Permission/Leave (AWOL) status and shall not receive compensation for the
duration of the unauthorized absence. Moreover, he/shall be subject to sanctions, as may be
determined by his department head/manager.
4.6 Approval of the Vacation Leave
4.6.1 The approved leave schedules shall be submitted to HR Department immediately after the
approval of his/her immediate superior for vacation leave credits and payroll purposes.
4.6.2 Upon expiration of the approved vacation leave, an employee must report for work
promptly
4.6.3 Unauthorized absence after the expiration of the approved leave shall be considered
AWOL.
4.6.4 An employee on AWOL shall not receive compensation for the duration of his unauthorized
absence. Moreover, he/she shall be subject to sanctions, as may be determined by his
department head/manager.
