Discussion

The Mobile Health Clinic Project has a number of objectives that it seeks to achieve.

One of the goals is to increase the amount of primary health care services to the uninsured

and underserved patients in Eastern Colorado by 30% within six months. The second goal is

to create a continuous provision and reliability of primary health care services to all the

residents in Eastern Colorado by 20% in six months. Finally, the last goal is increase the

determination of how to expand the services provided and collect data that will be utilized to

assess community needs, and establish unknown needs by 40% in six moths (Stephanie et al.,

2017).

The targeted population for the Mobile Health Clinic project is the residents who stay

in Eastern Colorado. One of the reasons necessitating the implementation of the project is

that Eastern Colorado is classified as a Medically Underserved Area (MUA). Being

designated as Medically Underserved Area means the primary care providers posted in the

area are not enough to provide health care services to the residents sufficiently. The fact of

being a Medically Underserved Area is evident if one takes a tour and assesses the rural areas

of Eastern Colorado. Another reason is that along the I-70 corridor from E-470 to Burlington,

the only facility providing primary care in the area is Lincoln Community Hospital (Lincoln

Community Hospital, 2019), providing health care services to rural communities like Simla,

Karval, Kiowa, and Bennet.

There is a need to assess the goals of a project to determine how successful it is.

Assessment of the goals set for the Mobile Health Clinic project will provide an insight into

the efficiency and effectiveness of the plan implemented to achieve the set objectives. One of

the strategies to be used in evaluating the project goals is the measurement of the project's

performance to the projected outcomes. In addition, performance benchmarks will be set to

help in keeping the project on track (Stephanie et al., 2017). Variance to the project outcomes

will be assessed, with necessary actions being undertaken to ensure set objectives are

achieved.
