Procedure:

2. Keep a close watch on the different components of the miniscule curriculum: the
lesson

3. Follow the three major components of a curriculum (Planning, Implementing and


Evaluating / Assessing). Observe and record your observation.

Major Curriculum Key Guide for Observation (Carefully look for the indicators/behavior of the

A. Planning 1. Have a screen the teacher's lesson plan for the day. What major parts do you
see? Have a copy of it.

Answer the following questions:

a. What are the lesson objectives/learning outcomes?

 The lesson objectives/learning outcomes of the lesson, At the end of a


60- minute period, the students will be able to identity the characteristics
of Earth that are necessary to support life.

b. What are included in the subject matter?

 The subject matter includes the topic which is, Characteristics of Earth
necessary to support life.

c. What procedure or method will the teacher use to implement the plan?

 The procedure or method will the teacher use to implement the plan are
the following; Review, Motivation, Presentation, Exploration and
Discovery, Developing mastery, Application, and Generalization.

d. Will the teacher assess or evaluate the lesson? How will this be done?

 Yes, the teacher assess or evaluate the lesson through a board works,
summative tests/ short quiz with two types the multiple choice and the
check/ crosses.
B. Implementing Now it's time to observe how the teacher implemented the prepared lesson

a. How did the teacher begin the lesson?

 The teacher begins the lesson with the greetings, prayer, presenting class
rules, and checking attendance.

b. What procedure or steps were followed?

 The procedure or steps that were followed are; the review, motivation,
presentation, exploration and discovery, developing mastery, application
and generalization.

c. How did the teacher engage the learners?

 The teacher engaged the learners through a series of presenting a


pictures, doing some group activities, and showing a video presentation
related to lesson.

d. Was the teacher a guide at the side?

 Yes.

e. Were the learners on task? /Or were they participating in the class
activity?

 Yes, the learners are both on task and participating in the class activity.

f. Was the lesson finished within the class period?

 Yes, the lesson was finished within the class period. The time alloted was
enough for the teacher to finish the lesson.
C. Evaluating / Did learning occur in the lesson taught? Here you make observations to find

 Yes, the student able to identity the characteristics of Earth that are
necessary to support life.

 The teacher assess/ evaluate it through giving group activity, multiple


choice test, assignment, and also summative test.

 The learning objectives are clear and attain by the teacher, an engaging
group activity and effective instructional strategies.

1. How does the teacher whom you observed compare to the ideal characteristics or
competencies of global quality teachers?

 The teacher whom I have observed can be compared to the ideal characteristics or
competencies of global quality teachers in the way that she manifests a mindset that
translates personal global competence into professional classroom practice. It is a vision
of equitable teaching and learning that enables students to thrive in an ever-changing
world, and Creating a classroom environment that values diversity.

2. Was the lesson implemented as planned? Describe.

 Yes! The lesson was implemented as planned, it follows the teaching and learning
process which gives positive impact to both teacher and student, the teacher applied
some strategies in order to achieve the goal or objectives of the lesson.

3. Can you describe the disposition of the teacher after the lesson was taught? Happy and
eager? Satisfied and contented? Disappointed and exhausted?

 The teacher after the lesson was satisfied and contented, because she finished her
lesson on time and the students listen will while she's discussing the lesson.

4. Can you describe the majority of students' reactions after the lesson was taught? Confused?
Happy and eager? Contented? No reactions at all.

 The majority of the students' reactions after the lesson are happy and eager, because
they understand the lesson that the teacher thought.

 Yes, the three components constrictively aligned, because they support each other in
teaching and learning. The components connected to each other to obtain its objectives.

 The assessment would tell if the outcomes had been achieved, through the teaching
method are used effectively. The performance and learnings of students can be

What lessons have you learned in developing or writing a lesson plan?

 I have learned that the components of lesson plan need to be aligned with each other to
obtain the objectives of the lesson, and to ensure that the students able to learn from the
lesson.

What value will it give to the teacher if the three components are aligned?

 The alignment of outcomes teaching methods and assessment ensure that teachers
planning of lessons are in connection with each other and lesson plan serves as the
basis of effective teaching and learning.

 The lesson was all about general math Grade 11.

2. What visual aids/materials/learning resources was/were used by the teacher?

 The visual aids/ materials/ learning resources that the teacher used was video
presentation, white board.

3. After closely observing the learners' response to the teacher's use of learning resources how
will you describe their verbal and non- verbal responses? What do their responses indicate?
Are they learning and are they showing their interest in the lesson and in the materials?

 As what I have observed the student are very attaintive to the teacher and they
participate in the lesson of the teacher. They answer to every questions of the teacher
and they exchange ideas.

4. Using Technology Integration Matrix in which level of technology integration do you think the
teacher you observed operated? Why?

 The level of technology integration of the teacher I observed was Infusion - the teacher
creates learning environment that infuses the power of technology tools throughout the
day and across subject ares. As what I have observed the teacher use a presentation in
teaching and explaining to its student.

5. Based on the Technology Integration Matrix, what is the characteristic of the learning
environment in the class that you observed? Point your observations that justify your answer.

 Based on the Technology Integration Matrix, the characteristic of the learning


environment in the class that I observed is that the student are Constructive - students
use technology tools to build understanding rather that simply receive information. As
what I have observed student use technology to learn from their teacher.

6. Over-all, were the learning resources appropriate and used effectively? Why? Why not? Give
your suggestions.

 Yes, the learning resources appropriate and use effectively because the teacher used
the learning resources that will be effective in teaching its learners, and learning
resources adapted serves as a tool for the task to accomplished.
