Part 1.
In this chapter I learned that Rizal was born and raised in calamba kaya kahit marami
na itong napuntahan na lugar na magaganda mapa abroad at pilipinas hindi parin na
nakakalimutan ang lugar ng calamaba, ang dahilan ni rizal kaya sya nag aral sa ibang
bansa ay para matuto ito sa kanlang lingwahi at mga ibat ibang kultura nng ibat ibang
bansa.

February 1888 at the age of 27, Rizal was forced to leave his country half sick going to
Hong Kong. He stayed at Victoria Hotel which he was welcomed by the Filipino
residents Jose Maria Basa, Balbino Mauricio and Manuel Yriarte but his every
movement were being watched by a Spaniard named Jose Sainz de Varanda.On
February 18, 1888, Rizal being accompanied by Basa, visited Macau, where during
their two-day sojourn, they stayed at the home of a Filipino named Don Juan Francisco
Lecaros who married a Portuguese lady. After visiting certain places in Macau they
returned to Hong Kong on February 20. Rizal left Hong Kong on February 22, 1888 after
two-weeks if being in the said country, he studied Chinese life, language, drama and
customs. While on the ship going to japan, Rizal conversed with some passengers in
their own languages, were two Portuguese, two Chinese, several British and an
American Woman Protestants missionary.

What I’ve learned and read that he rizal stayed at the hong kong for two weeks he
studied such Chinese way of life and culture, language, drama and customs.

Rizal noticed some experience and wrote them in his diar.

Some of them include the noisy celebration of Chinese new year which lasted from
February 11th to 13th. He also observes the boisterous Chinese theater.

February 22, 1888 he left Hong Kong on board the oceanic, an American steamer and
his destination was Japan.
