About the Project:

A contest is for students in senior years and fresh


graduates to come up with innovative ideas to
support the Egyptian patients in the areas of
(Cardiovascular, Diabetes, Respiratory, or
Oncology, leveraging Science and Technology).
Projects could cover areas like:
 Patient awareness, patient education, support
to healthcare givers, leveraging science to
support the Egyptian patient
 The projects need to leverage technology or to reflect an innovation
(preferably digital).

The Company will go for 10 winners as individuals or groups of 3s based on


the below criteria:
1. An idea/ initiative that is Impactful/ serving wide pool of patients on the
long-term.
2. Innovative leveraging digital technology.
3. Feasible/ achievable with measurable outcomes.
4. Fulfilling unmet medical need(s).
5. Unique and not repeated.

Vision:

 Sharing in the improvement of the public health standards in Egypt.


 Branding for EPSF among the whole medical sector and health care
services. Also, establishing a good image and reputation for EPSF all over
Egypt.
 Approaching and establishing good & tight relationships with the ministries
in Egypt, for example, the “Health Ministry”.

Mision:
 Serve the Egyptian patients with new ideas.
 Showing the power of name between AstraZeneca & EPSF.
 Unleashing the talents of pharmacy & medical students.
 Maintaining a good image & reputation for EPSF all over Egypt.

Name of the Contest: “Astra‫” فكرة‬

-Description As the aim of the contest is establishing an interactive innovative


idea to aid in the awareness and cure of patients from specific diseases, so the
name is spotting on the word idea & the name of the company to trigger the
campaign.

Slogan: “Ideas For Tomorrow”

-Description As the aim of the events is helping in improvement of health in


Egypt, so on the long run we are aiming to have a bright future with well-educated
healthy people all over Egypt, so we are going to take the 1 st step to cure our future
by unleashing new ideas for tomorrow.

Process & Phases:

Submission:

It will be through submission to a web based platform and all candidates will be
subjected to screening.
Screening:

The students will be asked to prepare 90 Sec. video to brief us about their projects;
The company will filter those videos down to 20-30 projects across the whole
governorates.

Panel:

Those screened projects will be asked to build their projects in details and to pitch
them in front of a panel who will give them a score.

Reward:

The panel will be comprised of AZ, Deans, maybe representative from Ministry of
Health, and potentially one from the Students organization;

 First 3 Teams [ 1st , 2nd & 3rd]


The winners will be sponsored to visit Cambridge for 3 Days to Visit AstraZeneca
R&D site in the UK.
 Second 3 Teams [4th , 5th & 6th]
The winners will be sponsored to have R&D Training in Egypt.

Market Segmentation: (Geo-Demograpically):

 Age: 22 to 25.
 Social classes: A to E.
 Gender: Males and Females.

Target Audience:
The target audience of the contest is Seniors & Fresh graduates of Pharmacy and
Medical Sector faculties from all Egyptian universities.

        
-  Online Promotion:
 The goal is using digital marketing & a variety of Facebook Tools in order
to reach to the maximum number of target audience.
 Teaser video show the progress in science and technology, posted by the
project page and  all partners, EPSF page and 35 LAs pages To attract
attention of all online audience to the upcoming big event.  
 Make a FB live videos during the offline promotion To make high reach on
social media.

 Online activity about description of the event links between the students as
innovators & health care givers.
 Online Activity about the aims of the event for Egyptian patients & medical
students.

 Online Activity about the role of medical & pharmacy students as health
care providers.

 Online activities about the criteria and stages of the context.

 Online activity announcing about the sponsors & partners and giving hint
about their achievements.

 Online activity highlighting the awards for the winners.


 Establish a Facebook carousel about the steps of the contest from the
beginning to the end.
 Make a sequence of detailed posts about the contest steps and the criteria to
share in it To answer all the questions of the people.
 Post a series of pictures for the patients suffering from the proposed
diseases to spot how important is to serve them with a technology for curing
them.
 You can make a coordination system on the groups of each level in your
college especially year 5.
 You can cooperate with the working places that most of pharmacy students
go to online.

-  Offline Promotion:
 Establish a one week Offline Promotional campaign.
 Trigger the event with a simple talk inside the lectures in the universities.
 Hang out the posters and banners of the campaign inside the campuses of all
sharing universities to attract the pharmacy students and many other
society segments for the event.

 Offline promotion in the Booth at promotion days with delegates from


AstraZeneca.

 You can cooperate with the working places that most of pharmacy students
go to offline.
