Dear parent/carers,

I am writing regarding a new trip which is being introduced at Cottenham by the RE department. This
letter is looking to work with families to ascertain whether there would be enough interest in the
trips and would help the department in our subsequent planning. Below is a brief outline of the trip
and it’s current costings. If you are interested in this trip, please can you let us know by completing
the link below by Friday 28th April.

Open to all students in our current year 10

Rome trip taking place in October Half Term 2023 when students are in year 11

The RE department are looking to run a 4 day/3 night trip to Rome. Students will have a guided tour
of the Vatican and St Peter’s Basilica, a trip to the Colosseum, and the ancient Forum and Palatine
Hill. Alongside this there will be a tour of a range of different iconic locations such the Parthenon,
the Spanish Steps, Caravaggio’s paintings, and Keat’s House.

Airport transfers and accommodation are included, as well as all breakfasts and dinners. It should be
noted that there is also a meal included at the Hard Rock café included, and an all important gelato
overlooking the Trevi Fountain!

Whilst this student focuses on aspects of religion, it is open to all students at CVC, and will especially
appeal to those who love art, geography, history, MFL, English, and gelato!

Cost per student based on 24 students attending: £985

Cost per student based on 30 students attending: £790

If your child is interested in attending this trip, please do let us know by completing the following
link: Rome 2023 Expression of Interest.

If you would like any further information, please do not let me know via the form above, or via email
(patrick.winter@astreacottenham.org). The department will then provide an outline of next steps to
any families who complete the link above.

Kind regards

Paddy Winter on behalf of the RE Department.
