Short Story Writing:
First activity is the Short Story Writing Contest wherein the ILS students showcased their creativity and
passion in writing stories that take us to another place and time.

Here are the winners:

 And first place, Savannah Katrice A. Baguio, from Grade 7

A Richardson Award, named after Samuel Richardson who is the originator of epistolary novel, will be
given to Kyle Angelo Malinao from Grade 9 for their work which captured the judges’ attention.

Photo Essay: June Mekka Pelicano

In the Photo Essay contest, the ILS students told their stories through photos with minimal captions which
revolve around the English Month celebration theme. Here are our winners:

Next is Comic-O which is activity is a competition about making comics which is a visual art form that
uses drawn images, may it be traditional or digital, and is often combined with textual devices. Here are

Dance Drama: Gabriel Pena

Aside from showcasing their skills in poetry, the ILS students proved to be multi-talented as they also
exhibited their skills in dance interpretation in the Dance Drama competition. Here are our winners!

 Third place, with a tie, we have Gen Lawas and Ran Sahira Geya Pederi both from Grade 10.

Poetry in Motion: Ma. Nekka Sespene


Now, we are off to our group competitions starting off with Poetry in Motion. In groups of 3, students did
not only write their own poems, but they also sang their poems by giving them their own tune. Here are
our winners!

 Third place, Grade 9 with members Crishil Atasha S. Zoilon, Ysabella Beatriz S. Angcahan and
Dorothy V. Vergara.
 Second place, Grade 10 with members Aaron Karl Jimenez, Earol Belonguil and Rui Simon
Ranario.
 And first place, Grade 7 with members Janly Grace Demol, Vince Gabriel C. Lomboy and
Demefel Balijon.

Radio Drama: Kim Villamora

Radio Drama is a speech activity wherein the ILS students created a script of a story which they
dramatized through audio recording, music and sound effects. Let’s start off with our minor awards.

 For Best Actress, we have Nayomi Caruana from Grade 8.


 Best Actor, Marc Thedore Salve from Grade 10.
 Best Director, Gianna Aleiza Timbang from Grade 10.
 Best Script, Grade 10 for their drama titled “la la vie”
 Best Story, Grade 10 for their drama titled “la la vie”
 Best in Technicality, Grade 8 for their drama titled “Stuck”
