2018
In line with the desire of the English department of Dasmarinas West National High
School to promote English language competency and love for reading and in pursuant
to the memorandum of Department of Education about the annual celebration of the
National Reading Month, the English Fest 2018 with the theme “Redefining Excellence
through Language and Reading” was held on November 19 – 28, 2018 in different
schedule and venues within the school.

Objectives:
This program aimed to:
• enhance the reading and linguistic competence of the students;
• provide opportunities for students to showcase their talents and skills through
varied performances and competitions;
• help them realize and internalize the importance of reading and develop in them
the love for reading;
• communicate in them the value of reading and literature in the enrichment of their
lives.
This program was made possible through the effort of the following working committee:
