Title: Series Parallel Circuits lab 3: Experiment to calculate the current flowing through every

resistors and complete some questions

Experiment used: Breadboard, red/black wires, crocs, D.C voltage source, and resistors(1k ohms,330
ohms and 900 ohms)

Sample calculations:

v = I/R P = IxV

Error in calculation was deduced using the following formula %E=(R’-R/R)*100

Discussion:

The experiment was conducted satisfactorily and all required results were obtained. After the
questions were completed, I began working on the breadboard. I connected the required resistors
and wires although, resistor 900 ohms was no where to be found in my toolbox I used three
resistors that make up 900 ohms. When everything was prepared I got some cables, a D.C voltage
source and croc from the toolbox. I gathered the voltage and current from measuring the resistors
and got voltage and percentage error and added to the diagram. The voltage calculated matches the
same voltage as the one measured using the voltage source.

Conclusion:

-The experiment was conducted satisfaction. The voltage was found in each resistors and the voltage
calculated matches the same voltage using the formula.

-The diagram verifies that the voltage is parallel

- equations such as V = I/R P = IxV#

Results:

a) 1/RT = 1/1000 – 1/687.5 = -1/2200

b) 1/RT = 1/300 + 1/900 = 1/1230 – 1/607.4 = 8.33354109X10^4 1/ 607.4 = 8.33354109X10^4
1199.971089 = 1200

687.5 + 607.4 = 1294.9ohms

3 P = V^2/R

P = 10^2/1294.9

P = 0.08W
