Title: Ohms law lab 1: Experiment to verify Ohms law = V=IR/R=V/I

Equipment used: Breadboard, 3 resistors of unknown resistance, DC power supply,

multimeter, croc clips and wire.

Purpose of the experiment: the purpose of this experiment is verify ohms law by using the
formula R=VI( RESISTANCE, VOLTS, CURRENT)

Sample calculations:

R’(ohms)=v/I. V=1. I=0.106

I(Milliamp’s)=v/r*10^3

Error in calculation was deduced using the following formula: %E=(R’-R/R)*100

Discussion:
The experiment was conducted satisfactorily and all required results were obtained. The
three resistors were verified using red and black crocs, connected to the cables and bread
board along with the resistors. The milliamps steadily increased every time when the volts
were increased by one. The graphs displayed show that the results are verified since they
are not touching one another and have a small gap. The milliamps are graphed separately
for each resistor. The data on the graph demonstrates that the experiment carried out was
done sufficient with errors in the expected range. The dot matches with the line R

Conclusion:

-The experiment was conducted satisfaction

-Three experiments were carried out and 6 values of miliamps

-the graph verifies ohms law.

- equations such as V/I. and V/R*10^3
