When deciding to hire a new employee, different aspects such as the candidate's skills,
experience, etc. have to be taken into account. However, in the selection process, these basic
aspects are not enough. There are other key issues that make the difference between the
candidates for the job and facilitate the choice of the right employee. Some of the
professional competencies that need to be assessed when recruiting staff are the following:

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

The ability to work.

Capacity for self-management.

Relationship and leadership skills.

Motivation and commitment.

Candidate's intelligence.
3. How can you make a right impression in a video job interview?

We need to know that we have to impress, so here are a few tips:

PRACTICE BEFORE YOUR VIRTUAL INTERVIEW

Regardless of whether the interview is online or offline, this point should always be at the top
of the list. It is of utmost importance that you practice the strongest points of your academic
and professional career beforehand.

In addition, do some research about the company or current information about the position
you are applying for - it is not enough to show your best, but you should also know the
mission, vision and history of the company.

CREATE THE IDEAL ENVIRONMENT WITH NO INTERRUPTIONS AND GOOD LIGHTING.

Although it seems obvious, we have seen unexpected situations interrupt meetings, classes or
virtual interviews.

WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE AND BODY IMAGE

Let the comfort of your home be a source of confidence, but not a place to relax. It is
important that you always stand up straight, try to face the camera as it gives the impression
that you are looking your interviewers in the eye.

DRESS FORMALLY

This is one of the most important details as our presence should speak for itself.
