“CAREER ADVOCACY PROGRAM 2023”

During the Career Advocacy Program, after the opening remarks the hosts already
called the first speaker and he is Mr. Cedrick from PESO. He discussed all about employment
services here in Taguig City. Since we will be having an on-the-job training or ojt that required to
senior high school students. He stated all the concern when it comes to deployment. He also
mentioned the “tupad” Program and “Spes” Program that will help us for our upcoming
deployment. They also called Taguig as “City of Future” because they have a lot of opportunities
here even though you’re on your on-the-job training.

The second speaker talks about LMI or Labor Market Information as what she have
been stated during the program is first the outline like Labor Market, Labor Market Information,
and Job Fit 2023. Ms. Erica also tackled about being employed, unemployed, and
underemployed. I’m having a hard time before in understanding what is the underemployed
means but since Ms. Erica explained it gives me a wide understanding especially in how the way
she addressed it.

Lastly, Mr. Earl John who gave a memorable speech that day. He started to address the topic
about entrepreneurship and I have a little idea about entrepreneurship but he gave me a lot of
knowledge also. He addressed about risk in business, characteristics, and rewards of having a
business. He gave us a knowledge on how or in what way we should start our business and
what are the consequences of your decisions when it comes to starting a business.
