Developing an Android-Based Virtual Campus Tour and Maps Application
for Bulacan State University 
 
Main Problem 
The main problem of the study is to create an innovative way to introduce and
familiarize the geography of the campus to freshmen students.
 
Specific Problems: 
1. How to remotely navigate lost freshmen students to their respective room?
2. How to orderly compile and present building layouts for easy navigation? 
3. How to create and develop an interactive map application that is capable of: 
a. Displaying the map of the campus 
b. Detailed Room location directions 
c. Pinning room locations
d. Route compiling
e. Campus Tour 
 
Causes of the Problems: 
1. With the massive campus area and multiple renovations made in the past year, the
university, now, has no accurate campus map for available for students  
2. With the influx of new students, instructors may not be able to properly familiarize
students with the campus’ layout. 
3. In the light of the pandemic lockdown, there are now students of BULSU whom may not
have the chance to fully tour the campus.  
Effect of the Problems: 
1. Freshmen students have no comprehensive way of locating their classrooms and other
academic areas within the campus grounds. 
2. Instructors are often left with their period heavily cut down due to students not knowing
where the room is. 
3. Students' time is wasted in finding certain rooms and amenities offered by the campus

Development of a Campus Parking system for the Students of Bulacan State
University 
 
Main Problem 
The main problem of the study is to provide a comprehensive way for
students to park within the vicinity of Bulacan State University. 
 
Specific Problems: 
1) How to optimize the campus’ parking spaces for the students? 
2) How to guide routes for students to their designated parking spaces?
3) How to order parking spaces for easy layout and management of parked vehicles
4) How to create and develop an interactive parking system that is capable of: 
A. Showing the location campus parking spaces.
B. Showing occupied and unoccupied parking spaces.
C. Monitor the number of vehicles in the designated parking spaces.
D. Reserve parking spaces.
 
Causes of the Problems: 
1. There are many students using their own transportation that wish to park within the
campus grounds. 
2. Undefined amounts of available parking spaces.  
3. Parking spaces may be left Unnoticed and Unused 
4. Students using parking spaces designated for university staff. 
 
Effect of the Problems: 
1. Working students might find it harder to leave immediately due to unmanaged parking. 
2. Students are often left circling the campus searching for parking spaces. 
3. Mini traffic jams are created in tight streets due to different vehicles meeting in the same
spots. 
4. Unorganized parked motorcycles may act as blockage to certain paths.

Development of a CICT Students attendance monitoring application
 
Main Problem 
The main problem of the study is to monitor number of CICT students that
enter campus grounds
 
Specific Problems: 
1. How to accurately monitor the number of CICT students present inside the campus? 
2. How to add security features to the current Campus (CICT) ID card?
3. How to develop an attendance system that contains the features of: 
A. Store student data
1. Student Id
2. Name
3. Course/ Specialization
4. Section
B. generate unique code based on student’s information.
C. Show student’s arrival time and departure times.
D. generate reports of total number of attending CICT students.
Causes of the Problems: 
1. The ID issued by the university lacks certain security features. 
2. False IDs can be used to fool security guards and enter the campus. 
3. As it stands now, the university has no concrete way of documenting students entering
the university every day. 
Effect of the Problems: 
1. Students safety falls on the university even if the student is not currently inside the
campus grounds 
2. Students may come late in their classes due to the line of people building up in the
campus entrance. 
3. In an event of a campus emergency, the accurate number of students is unverifiable. 
4. Professors may not be able to verify class skipping student’s whereabouts.
