 Introduction
 Cavite State University- General Trias Campus is only a branch
school, lacks of equipment for the courses of the students. Students
in Information Technology course has only few set of computers
over hundreds of students in the said school. Deficiency of
equipment really affects the students’ achievement, happiness,
motivation, and success to learn in their course. Though there are
students who are lucky enough and advantage to them having their
own laptops for them to do and apply the lessons in their own not
just depending on the lecture of the teachers, seeing only to others
who are in the computer.
 Statement of the Problem

The study is aimed to determine the students experience and perception towards inadequacy of computer equipment

in Cavite State University General Trias Campus.

 Specifically the study will answer the following questions;

1. Students profile

Course & Section
2. What equipment’s you usually use in classroom?
3. Does technology affect student academic achievement?
4. What is your perception towards inadequacy of computer equipment?
5. How technology was impacted curriculum?
6. What are Information Technology student’s perception of the uses of technology for instructional
purposes by college professor?
 Hypothesis

Information technology students are experiencing difficulties about their course because of

the inadequacy of computer equipment of the school laboratory. Even if there are students

who have their own gadgets that can be as an alternative ways yet, there are still students

nothing can be use as an alternative way and just depend on the computer in the school

laboratory but, the school laboratory has only few sets of computer and not enough to be

occupy by the students.

Figure 1 shows that the information technology students’ perception

and experience towards inadequacy of computer equipment in

Cavite State University- General Trias Campus and getting the

alternative ways to make the situation better.

 Significance of the study

The present study is aimed to be beneficial to the teachers, students,

parents, administrators, researchers, future researcher.

 The Teachers

The teachers are the one who teaches the studets. With the help of this

study, the teachers will know the about the problem of the school and that is

having inadequacy of computer equipment. Also this study will increase the

skill, productivity and creativity of the students.

 The Students

The students will be more efficient in every aspect. This study will help

how to be more productive and creative. They will be more confident to do

the task with the help of technology.

 The Parents

This will be remind that the parents should be aware about the

inadequacy of computer equipment of the school where their

son/daughter are.
 The administrators

The study will the other way of teachers can be use other technology in

teaching and implementing modern tools that will increase the productivity

and creativity for all.

 Time and Place of the Study

This study will be conducted from October to November 2019 at Cavite State University-

General Trias Cavite Campus.

 Scope and Limitations of the Study

This study involves 250 Information Technology students of Cavite

State University- General Trias Campus, Vibora City of General Trias,

Cavite.

The researchers shall look if what are the experiences and perception of

the students towards inadequacy of the computer equipment.

 Definition of Terms

Inadequacy- not enough equipment to be used by the students

Perception – understanding by the Information technology students as regards by the

situation

Experience- knowledge, observation as regards by the situation.

Computer Equipment- tools needed by the Information Technology students with

regards by the course

 CHAPTER II
Review of Related Literature

This section reviews literature related to the study of the students experience and perception towards inadequacy of

computer equipment of the school

Students’ perceptions of teacher support have a direct effect on their interest and motivation (Wentzel,

2012), and teachers‘ expectations of student achievement(which has an affective component) influence the

way they behave toward their students and thus can affect students‘ motivation, self -perceptions, and

academic performance (Jussim & Harber, 2012)

CHAPTER III

 METHODOLOGY

This chapter shows the Research design, respondents of the study, research

instrument, Research method, Ethical Consideration, Sampling Techniques,

and data to, be gathers to use,

 Research Design

In this research qualitative methodology was use to collect, analyse the

data obtain from all the participants the researcher developed the questionnaire

and finalize it before being distributed to the targeted group of respondents.

 Respondents of the Study

The respondents of the study are from the IT students Cavite State University General

Trias Campus. With 250 students from different section.

These students were enrolled for the first semester SY. 2019-2020 at the said school.
 Ethic consideration

The Researcher are responsible for the security and safety of the

participants. The researcher should ask first if their target

participants is available in that certain time.

 Sampling Techniques

The Respondents for this research will be IT students in Cavite

State University General Trias Campus. The researcher will pick all

of the population of the IT students as the respondents of the study.

 Data to be gathered

In gathering data for this study, the following steps will be under taken

1. The researcher will get General information about the population of the IT students and their work

Schedule.

2. The researcher will ask the general permission to the school administrator to conduct the interview to

the respondents.
