Presentation of Lesson; Today, we will discuss about the teacher in the school curriculum.
Introduction and Clarification of Presentation Objective:
At the end of the session, the class must have to;
 defined ,what is curriculum evaluation
 identified the role of the teacher in the curriculum evaluation

Activity 1: Paint Me Pictures!

Allotted Time: 10 minutes
Instructions:
1 .Divide the class into two group.
2. Distribute the text containing about the Role of Teacher and the school curriculum.
3. Give each group five minutes to prepare their pictures.
4. And the group will choose 1 presenter who will explain the picture.

Question 1: What did you feel after doing the activity?
Question 2: What have you learned after doing the activity?

Summative Question: In generalization, why it is important to know the role of a teacher in


evaluating the school curriculum?
Activity 2: PICK ME UP!

1. First, the students will pick a rolled paper with a questions and without a questions.
2. Then, all students who picked a rolled paper with a question will read and answer the
questions about curriculum evaluation.

In general, why there is a need to evaluate curriculum?

Review of Main Points

Main Point 1: The role of teacher is to surpass the conventional thinking that a teacher only
educates students .They were used to following a specific curriculum and had to learn about the
curriculum. Curriculum evaluation is a component of curriculum development that responds to
public accountability. It looks into educational reforms or innovations that happen in the teachers
classrooms, the school, district, or to the whole educational system as well.
Main Point 2: According to Ornstein, A & Hunkins, F. (1998 Curriculum evaluation is a process
done in order to gather data that enables one to decide whether to accept, change, eliminate the
whole curriculum of a textbook.
