TITLE: Physical Activity and Physical Fitness Assessments

Performs appropriate first aid for injuries and emergency situations in physical activity

Intro: The learner demonstrates understanding of lifestyle and weight management to promote
community fitness, It prevents Weight gain and keeps to maintain healthy. Continuous exercise
along with a balanced diet increases immunity to various illnesses and promotes good health.

Objectives:
▪ maintains an active lifestyle to influence the physical activity participation of the
community
▪ practices healthy eating habits that support an active lifestyle

▪ Assess one’s physical fitness levels

Activities/Exercises: Discuss the roles of the following sports official.

1. Coach: Coaches are responsible for planning, organising and delivering an


appropriate range of sports activities and programmes for individuals and teams.
Typical responsibilities include: teaching relevant skills, tactics and techniques. ...
assisting with sports promotion/development.

2. Referee: A referee or simply ref is the person of authority in a variety of sports who
is responsible for presiding over the game from a neutral point of view and making
on-the-fly decisions that enforce the rules of the sport, including sportsmanship
decisions such as ejection.
3. Umpire: Officiate at sporting events, games, or competitions, to maintain standards
of play and to ensure that game rules are observed. 2) Judge performances in
sporting competitions in order to award points, impose scoring penalties, and
determine results.

4. Linesmen: Usually there are 2 linesmen, one on either side of the pitch. Their job is
to indicate to the Referee that a ball has gone out of play, either over the sideline or
through the corner of the side they're monitoring, or to indicate that a player is
offside during the course of play.

5. Scorekeeper: The scorekeeper's primary responsibility is to accurately record a


game's score. Each time a team scores one or more points, the scorekeeper must
post the updated score on the scoreboard. ... A scorekeeper might also be
responsible for keeping time by starting and stopping the clock according to the
rules of the game.

6. Timekeepe: Timekeepers maintain an accurate track of hours worked for payroll


purposes. They typically are hired as acting liaisons between employees and payroll
coordinators to ensure the smooth process of pay distribution. Calculating an
employee's time worked, production and commission are duties of a timekeeper
