What I Know
Trekking and Hiking are vigorous activities that require the majority of the
legs on a long-distance walk or climb. The difference between them is that
Trekking is held within long hours or days of walk while Hiking is focused on
climbing mountains which can last only a few hours or days to reach the top
and mostly these activities are done by walking on mountains or hills.
What I Learned
I learned that Hiking and trekking are also recreational activities that will
connect us to nature itself because we are being part of a journey that can last
for days or a week. Hiking will take only the maximum amount of two days while
trekking will last more days and even weeks to accomplish since this is more
vigorous than hiking.
The equipment is important for this kind of activity just as a backpack, hiking
shoes or boots, first aid kits, GPS tracker, trail foods, and other necessities
needed. This activity will give benefits our well-being from mental to physical
attributes oneself. I also learned different safety guidelines by following the
term HIKE including the E which tells about ensuring the safety of self and others
and I which implied that instructions from professionals or leaders must be
strictly followed.
