Reflection

I learned about earthquake. So what is earthquake? An earthquake is what happens

when two blocks of the earth suddenly slip past one another. The surface
where they slip is called the fault or fault plane. An earthquake is what happens
when two blocks of the earth suddenly slip past one another. And fault is a
break or a fracture in the Earth’s crust, and along the break, significant
movement has taken place. There are three types of fault the Normal fault,
Reverse fault, and Strike-slip fault. Normal fault is when the rock layer in the
Earth’s crust are pulled apart, and gravity causes one section to move downward
in relation to the other. Then reverse fault is when the rock layers in the Earth’s
crust are squeezed together, and the force pushes in relation to the other. And
finally the Strike-slip fault forms when the rock layers on opposite sides of a fault
slides past each other horizontally. I also I learned friction the resistance to
motion of one object to another. But how do faults produce quakes? According to
the video that I watched they said that “Every time a FAULT slips or moves, the
EARTH QUAKES “. Earthquakes also has good benefits to us, It helps us to
understand nature more, it also allows scientists to study the Earth’s inner layer.
Understanding earthquakes helps us to prepare and responds to such
devastating events, If we have a clear understanding of the occurrence of
earthquakes we can avoid or reduce the loss of life and damage to property.
