1. Identify what your ecotourism program wants to achieve? (Fun,

conservation, benefit to local, business profit, etc.)

My ecotourism program is a kind of a campaign to conserve the

environment but still provide fun through every gender and age and make
conservation awareness to the tourist to not to damage the environment in
any possible way. This program makes tourists receive information,
conservation variety culinary and takes into account benefits to the
ecotourism attraction. Focus on benefits to Tak province.

2. Identification of target markets

Our target market is tourists that are sort of soft adventurers. Mostly family
size and teennager. The reason for this target is that our program needs to
be easy and comfortable at the same time. Thus, the target market is the
kind of mass tourist that are able to join and enjoy the trip without feeling
like leaving something behind. Some activities that are provided in the
brochure might not be suitable for elderly or senior people. In conclusion,
Our target tried to be mass and accessible for everyone.

3. Development of a core product centered around the area's unique

or otherwise prominent features, and consider the product
diversification: development of supplementary or specialized
products

Firstly, The experience that tourists receive, Tak province is still the
destination that hasn’t been ruined by tourists. Thus, They still see the
perfection of the natural environment that tourists have never seen before.
Secondly, In order to campaign everyone to conserve the environment our
program also gives information and knowledge to people and make them
concerned about taking care of the environment and natural attraction. It’s
an image of the tak province. If we can clear the little problem in the
present, we can also clear the huge problem in the future and make this
place known as well. Finally, Besides experience and environment, our
5

program also contains relaxation during the trip. Meaning not only care
about the environment but also try not to be serious on the main objective.

5. Construct a lively interpretive program attached in your ecotourism

program. The specific theme is “how to care about the earth while
travelling”. Please give your specific theme and concept behind your
interpretive program.

My topic is “How to protect scrape on a tree and change false belief Stone
balance” Scrape on a tree might be a little problem that no one care but I
think someday this little problem will expand to a huge problem, Imagine if
foreign tourist come in to our city and some of they say “This tree looks
10

awful It’s full of scrape” That’s definitely bad image for our country. And this
should be fixed. On the other hand, tower of rock or stone balance, This
belief is mistaken. Originally, This belief is from East asia tourists such as
Chinese and Japanese tourists that travel in thailand. They believed that
staging a stone as high as a pagoda and wishing will make them affluent.
Which in fact, it’s not and also ruins the environment of that destination.

Disadvantage of Scrape on a tree

● Used a lot of time to restore as an original regular tree.
● Bad image for natural attraction.

Disadvantage of Stone balance

● Causing a change in the physical characteristics of the attraction.

Such as archaeological sites, Moving brick or stone from the original
position have a disadvantage to archaeological interpretation. For
natural attractions with lots of rocks. such as Koh Hin Ngam, Satun
Province. Staging stones has become a promotional activity for some
tour companies. Causes the movement of stones to the same point.
Because when tourists arrange rocks, they also bring rocks from
other areas to arrange them high. causing the stones to pile up in the
same area Sometimes a fun-loving tourist may throw a stone to the
pile of rocks that are arranged to shatter and fall, causing the rock to
shatter.
● Ruin the scenery of that natural attraction Groups of stones that are
arranged in a row look disgusting. The more they line up to block the
view of the scenery or the patterns on the decorations of various
ancient sites.

● It is a belief that is not traditional. And it's not proven that arranging
the stones gives you the desired fulfillment. But this belief harms
directly to destination more than you think.

6. Make the decision on “product quality and pricing”

This must include identification if your program is designed for mass,
upscale or specialized products? (Please make sure it is designed
appropriately with your target market and program objective – check
consistency of every point you propose in your program)

Our design for this program is for mass tourists that means everyone is
able to join this ecotourism program. But mostly our program focuses on
family and teenagers. including taking into account the benefiting to the
local community and increasing income inside the indegenous area that
tourists never knew before.

Calculate your tourism cost for the overall program that you
offered

Originally our program set the price at 4900 baht, But to be exclusive and
attractive we decided to cut half of the price to 2540 for tourists. Thus, Price
of the overall program is approximately 2000 - 2540 baht.

Propose the pricing upon the product quality and tourism cost.

The reason for the price is because due to the covid-19 situation, this cost
can stimulate the economy and make a profit from travelling in thailand.

Don’t forget to think about “Benefit distribution” to conservation and

local people.

This ecotourism program makes tourist and traveller get well known with
this attraction and also increase the income of the community and have a
positive impact on travel in Tak province.
12

7. Design a brochure for your ecotourism program that can be

uploaded to website for marketing purposes. (Remember to present
your strong sale points that can be competed to other ecotourism
programs and don’t forget about ecotourism principles too.)

Our ecotourism program's selling point is achieving goals for the quality of
life of local communities and learning goals and experiences that match
nature. Which affects the community and natural attraction directly. Our
program has a variety of experiences and is full of activity that no one has
ever seen before. Many ecotourism programs have a lot of campaigns, and
the main purpose is to save the world. Our ecotourism program also did the
13

same way, moreover our program added more comfort and knowledge to
the customer.
