Rationale:
One of the major thrust of Education is Values Education. The present conditions are characterized by value
conflicts and value distortions, and there is a great demand to help the young people examine their lives, their goals,
feelings and aspirations.
Scouting provides our youth with an opportunity to try new things, provide service to others, build self –
confidence and leadership skills. Scouting will not only help when they are young but they can carry it with them in
their adult lives. They learn how to make good choices and to take responsibility for their actions. It will also help
guide our youth to set examples and become leaders rather than being involved in drugs or other bad decisions.

Through proper training of BSP/GSP Leaders and all Scouts, our aim in contributing to the
development of our young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials
as individuals and as members of their society are developed. Thus, the necessity of the project.

Objectives:
1. To provide an opportunity to serve and help in the development of Boy Scouts and Girl scouts to
become our future leaders;
2. To develop a sense of personal responsibility and stimulating the desire for responsible self-expression
of Troop Leaders and Scouts;
3. To equip Troop Leaders and Scouts knowledge and skills in providing learning/training activities that
respond to their needs and potentialities;
4. To maximize the implementation of the Scouting Movement in our district and community;
5. To actively involve the parents and the community in the Scouting Activities
