opinion inside a box. Those who picked an opinion will say (in a

of facts and opinion and how to differentiate to check if they are
right or wrong.
D. Presentation Read the following sentences.

How can you say that the sentence you choose is the fact?

How can you say that the sentence you choose is the opinion?
Show the meaning of Fact and Opinion and let the pupils read it.

Group A.
1. The group will be given a metacards where the sentences
of fact and opinion are written.
2. The group will distinguish whether the sentences are fact
or opinion by pasting it in the proper heading.

Group B.
1. The teacher will direct the pupils to write at least 2
sentences distinguishing fact from opinion.

Group C.
1. The group will pick/choose 1 person/things they can see
inside the classroom.
2. they are going to write 2 facts and 2 opinions about the
person/things they pick.

paragraphs and identifying each as “fact” or “opinion” by circling
the correct answer.

CASE #1
Baking cookies takes less than an hour. First, you need to add 2
cups flour, ½ cup sugar, 2 cups chocolate chips, 2 eggs, 1
teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon vanilla to a mixing bowl. Next you
stir the ingredients together until they are completely combined.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Put spoonful of cookie
batter an inch apart onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake for about
10 minutes or until the cookies are light brown at the edges.

My mom’s cookies are the best in town! First, she uses the
creamiest butter, and she gets the freshest eggs from our
neighbor’s chickens. The milk she buys to drink while eating the
cookies make the cookies even better because the milk comes
from a local dairy farm. They’re good when they’re cooled down,
but even better when they’re still warm.
