Background of the Study

Filipino subject is part of the school curriculum in the Philippines.

This is where the students may encounter some deep meaning of every
Filipino word. The students can learn about different folktales, stories,
fables, etc. Students may excel in this subject for it is the language and
“Pambansang Wika ng Pilipinas”.

According to the study of Ariaso (2020), One of the aspects

influencing student learning is their enthusiasm toward learning Filipino.
Learning elements have a significant impact on each student's
achievement in the Filipino topic, notably in Filipino.

As studied by Belvez (2011), if the teacher does not talk fluently in

Filipino, students become bored. When the emphasis is on language and
literature, which includes the four macro skills of hearing, speaking,
reading, and writing, it is considered that an instructor who does not use a
variety of approaches causes pupils to lose interest in their studies.

As stated by Andaquig (2019), Filipino, Panitikan, the Constitution,

and History are crucial subjects in developing young Filipino learners'
humanistic conscience, as well as critical thinking and social commitment
to their country and its sovereign growth, as well as to the entire globe and
its greater future.
