Young Dietician Schedule of Activities

Cooking competition guidelines


April 27, 2023 (Thursday 1 Pm onwards)

 Competition is for all grade 9 and 10 students


 Consist of (6) members per section
 All participants plan should prepare menu plan and to be submitted 2 days before the cooking
show.
 Participants shall bring their own ingredients.
 All contestants shall wear proper cooking attire.
 Each team will be given a total of (3) hours, broken down in to three (3) segments:

Segment 1 (30 Minutes): Setup and Preparation


Segment 2 (2 hours): Cooking
Segment 3 (30 minutes): Plating and Final touch

 The following dishes will be prepared during the competition


 Appetizer
 Main curse
 Dessert
 Each team shall prepare 4 Plates for every dish: (1) for display and (3) to be served to the judges
for tasting.
 Dish must be relevant to the theme: Healthy Eating Habits: Investment and Fuel for the
Future.
 One team will be declared as the winner
Criteria for Judging

Taste – 30 Points
Presentation – 25 Points
Sanitation and Hygiene Standard Application - 15 Points
Work habits – 10 Points
Preparation (Mise-en-Place) – 10 Points
Time Management – 10 % Points
Nutri-gala guidelines
Date: May 3, 2023 (Wednesday 3Pm onwards)

 EACH SECTION shall have one representative


 Every section will create and design their own costume that is related to the theme: Healthy
Eating Habits: Investment and Fuel for the Future.
 Costume must be recycled using vegetables, grains, fruits and others

Criteria for Judging

Creativity – 40 %
Originality – 30%
Relevance to the Theme – 20 %
Presentation and Projection – 10%

Nutri-Henyo guidelines
Date: April 26, 2023 (Wednesday 1 Pm onwards)
 All grade level
 Coverage of the quiz is based on the food pyramid
 (3) representative each section
 Competition will be held at the AVR

Poster making contest


Date: April 28, 2023 (Friday 1Pm onwards)
 All grade level
 Material should be recyclable materials
 Theme: Healthy Eating Habits: Investment and Fuel for the Future.
 Poster will be submitted on April 28, 2023 in the afternoon.

Criteria for Judging

Creativity – 40 %
Originality – 30%
Relevance to the Theme – 30 %
